Beck has been covered by Jay Reatard for a b-side on his next single.

Beck will release 'Gamma Ray' on August 11th via XL Recordings and Reatard's cover of the same track will adorn the flipside.

'Gamma Ray' itself is taken from the 'Modern Guilt' album (as released last month) and has its own video, that you can watch here.

In other related Beck news, the songwriter is preparing for a U.S. tour this month and next - you can find those dates listed here.

i dont know why they are that cheap, we dont usually get singles apart from the promo shit with like kings of leon cds and stuff. the last good 7" we had was that wooden shjips one on sub pop. plus i get 20% off so this single is gonna cost me like a buck fitty
