Title: DIE STASI presents:PINK REASON/ELECTRIC BUNNIES split 7" available now
Post by: dS on May 26, 2009, 09:48:24 AM
Hello everybody,
It's been a minute, and you might call me crazy, but the last 6 months or so seemed like a good minute to not be releasing records.  But DIE STASI is back in action and grinning from ear-to-ear because the Pink Reason/Electric Bunnies split is ready to go.  Take a vacation to Wisconsin, Miami and the resort in the middle of your mind all for $6.50 ppd.  Both bands take a stab at some pop with the Bunnies making a mosaic named "Colorful Teardrops" and Pink Reason teaching a lesson in pachydermy called "Hey Girl."  Enough ivory on that one to return a couple tusks!  "Rest your head on a cloud while flower petals sprinkle from the heavens" is a down-under style Thumper and the Electric Bunnies second offering on this one.  Make sure your stereo is fit.  And then we got some vintage Pink Reason drag: "Watching You Fall"  Some say it's Kevin's best track--it sticks to the ribs, boy.

7"s are $6.50 ppd in the US, $7.50 Canada/Mex and $11 overseas.
12"s are $13 ppd in the US, $16 Canada/Mex and $20 overseas.

Also, there's a repress of the Zola Jesus 7" available with black art on bone cardstock.
Other titles:
XXperiments 12"
TV Ghost 12"
Frustrations 7" (only a couple left)
Leper Print 7"

Wholesale orders get at me.

stoked on more Pink Reason stuff, especially if a song is getting "best yet" praise.  that song on the World's Lousy LP is so killer.

You can always just throw an extra one in with Soriano's package, and I'll come get it and add it to KDVS.

We get mail for each other fairly regularly. I hafta hoof the Zgun review copy of that new Rijapov split 7" over to him right now.

"Watching You Fall" is definitely one of my favorite PR songs. "Hey Girl" is going to throw a few for a loop, reminds me of those early Mystery Girls tapes or Jordan Davis' solo stuff (a bit), great catchy song. The 'Bunnies tracks are two of their "weirder" ones. I support this record and its label dickhead.

By the way, there's tons of great PR shit that was recorded a couple-few years ago just sitting there...what the fuck, Kevin?

That's heartwarming stuff, Todd.  The two Bunnies songs are perfect for a 7" side.  When "Rest Your Head..." comes on after "Colorful Teardrops" it's a magikal music moment.  "Hey Girl" is probably Kevin's weirdest song when placed in the Pink Reason canon.

Okay, everything has shipped except for DX (Distort the World) copies for Australia because I gotta pick up some flat rate envelopes.  Exiled in Portland and Permanent Recs in Chicago are getting copies.  Going to the PO to endure dagger eyes in a second.

I'm still tying to figure out how to put back together the cut-up Academy Records/Livefastdie t-shirt that came with Kevin's records.  sewing machine? safety pins?

Is there a story behind this?

Haha

Is it the Livefastdie shirt with the peavy amplifier logo?

Yep... and the left side of the shirt is completely cut from the neck all the way down.  I wanna fix it cuz it's just my size.
