Collin, I think I mentioned to you my friend in college who looooved Faster Pussycat. 6' 3" 250 lb dumb-looking Gymrat Pollack who looked like he'd wanna pound you but was actually the nicest guy ever, a great artist, and hallucinogenic devotee (he gave me my first hit and stomped around town on acid alla' time). Before I knew him, we'd always make fun of "dude in a Faster Pussycat leather jacket." Eventually I asked him about it, and he said he painted it on the jacket and they were his favorite band. The idea that Faster Pussycat was someone's favorite band just seemed whacked. Like, "one of my favorites" or "one of my favorite hair metal thingers" or "number 38, I made a list," sure, but very favorite? There probably weren't many of those in the world. But I did end up hearing a lot of FP, because of Jay. Who ate cold refried beans and banana slices mixed together in the bean can because it was "healthy." Who scored a group of us a ton of acid but wouldn't let us take it unless we watched the entire Star Wars Trilogy with him while we tripped. Who was so cheap that he turned off the air conditioning in his car when he went up hills. Faster Pussycat fanatic.

faster pussycat is definitely one of the best bands outta the whole hair metal thing...
just saw them a few weeks ago - not that i was all that excited about it - but i was wasted and they were playing a bar down the street, so thought i'd try to sneak in, and succeeded. was a good time!

Todd, that's not the guy I met at The Vault who was also into Hanoi Rocks, was it? We talked a little FP in between bands.

Nah, that's John from Truthdealer, he's from GB but I only met him since moving down here.
His favorite band is Hanoi Rocks. Same with "red menace" Aleks from Columbus. That I can see, I guess.

Bathroom Wall is the hit. Up there with Public Enemy #1 by the Crue.

don't forget smash alley.......also, im currently listening to this city has no heart.....is this a blatant topical guns n roses rip off (welcome to the jungle, move to the city) or is hair metal the inbred niece or nephew of city rock
