Title: J Church
Post by: vulture on August 27, 2009, 12:11:20 PM
I'll probably catch some flak for this thread, but oh well. I really enjoyed Prophylaxis and Camels, Spilled Corona and the Sound of Mariachi Bands. Also some of the early 7"s were ok.

Hate this, though I saw a live clip of Cringer playing 'pay to play' and it was some hot shit.

Of course you'll catch flak its the web.  J Church was awesome.  Lots of their shit absolutely sucked.  But some of it was really good.  Definitely those two records are good.  I also liked that 8 song on Jade Tree when I was a midget.  Simulacra...something.  7"s were pretty cool.  Too many to count.  J CHURCH:  THE ORIGINAL BLANK DOGS.

J Church ruled.  I could never keep up with their crazy release schedule, but what I did own was awesome.  Lance Hahn was a true lifer, and his death was one of the only times I've ever really cared about someone I didn't know dying.  I'd even argue that they needn't be ghettoized into the pop punk board.
