...is there a threat that 1" of snow might fall at 4 am and everyone is ready to close the schools down for safety reasons.

I met a dude from Sacramento on my plane home from San Francisco.  He was a banker working for CitiBank and was going to NY for training.  I thought he was kind of cute but he hadn't heard of DJ Rick OR Ganglians so he obviously sucks.

WRONG!  Portland shuts down at the threat of snow as well.   You Californians think you're so special...

Why do people always go to the grocery store and stock up on milk whenever there is the threat of inclimate weather? Why milk? Why so much of it? If you get snowed in and can't leave for days is milk alone going to sustain you?
