In which city do you think people, in general, are the worst?
Please try to base this more on where you've lived, then placed you've visited, and finally people you've met from certain places that you haven't been to. And extra finally, try not to let TV portrayals influence your decision (such as "Jersey Shore").

I've really only ever spent a lot of time in Atlanta (my whole life basically), Madison (two months), and the Kangra Valely in India (6 months).
There are basically the same percentage of shitty people in all three cities, but it's how they are shitty that makes the difference.
In Atlanta, the shitty people are just mind-numbingly stupid. Gets frustrating at times, but you learn to deal with it.
In Madison, the shitty people wear scarves, ride bikes and think they are better than you. Not as easy to deal with 'cause they should know better.
In the Kangra Valley, the shitty people have no legs or eyes, roll around on skateboard-things, pull your shirt and ask you for money. It's pretty annoying but i guess you can't really blame them.
so yeah i think the shitty madison ppl are the shittiest.

Florida is piece of land around Miami filled with white people, I think. Orlando is pretty raw, I like partying there. I once went to a party in Kissimmee/St. Cloud and it was a really bad experience with rednecks. I wouldn't like to go there again. I guess you can put Miami/Florida in two different categories, because people in Miami are raw. It's got douchebags like everywhere else, but most people get along pretty well.

Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach aren't the least bit redneck-y. But they are not raw. Unless strip malls and old Jews are raw. One plus about FTL- there's a Primanti Bros. there.

Some of these towns in Humboldt County really win the top 5 spot. Rio Dell is the worst one. Arcata is pretty bad, but it's not their fault.

I spent three months in Vegas and thats is about the truth. I had to ride the bus there once and it was packed with gross, creepy people. The whole town felt scuzzy and washed up.

I Think they mostly blend together but I gotta say Vegas really stands out as truly terrible.
L.A. was pretty bad too. Also add on Indianapolis, Wichita Kansas and Phoenix AZ.
But definitely Vegas was the worst.
As for Philly, I used to hate it, but I've come to terms with it.
It's cool cause its close enough to NYC to travel for shows, I know some real nice people there and Philly's music scene sucks so hard that if you lived there and started an even "halfway decent" band, you could probably fucking own the whole town.

I'll second wichita. It's the worst place out there, just tons of bible colleges and the downtown has all these weird bronze statues of children on their knees looking like they're about to s some d. creepy. also saw some old people getting hustled out of 40$ by a crazy guy.

The whole developed area south of Byron Bay, around Grafton, Lismore and Ballina, is chock full of disgracefully cliched redneck fuckwits. They are practically cartoon character hicks. Spoils an otherwise good NSW coast.
I believe that the Gold Coast and also most of rural QLD is similar, or worse, but I have never been there.

Indy is the worst city I've lived in. I've been here a year and it's been literally the worst year of my life....thankfully I'm moving to Brussels in 10 days!!
As for the worst people, I've always wondered why 99% of australian expats I've met in Europe were total douches when the ones I've met in the States were nice.
