Alien Pod is a DIY concrete spot. Pretty bumpy but fun. It's got some corners with pool coping, and some weird "alien pod" thing in the middle. Last time I went there there were rollerbladers, so I guess it's pretty blown out.
Mabel Davis is the only skatepark in Austin. It's got a big bowl that's ok if you're good at tranny I guess. Pretty fun street stuff like little euro gaps, 3 block, whatever.
I'd say your best bet is going to Round Rock skatepark, which was my favorite skatepark. It's got a great street setup and a huge bowl with a giant cradle and everything.
New Braunfels has a really great new park too, but it's a bit of a drive from Austin. Tons of tranny, hubbas, pyramids. You can actually flow around the lower part of the park too.
Oh yeah, there's also a cement miniramp in a park off Airport and like...38th? Can't really remember.
Tons of ditches too, but I'm bad with street names so I can't really help ya there.

I saw pics of that Round Rock park after it was finished. Place looks CRAZY. I haven't skated in way too long, but I needa get back into it and check the park out.

Just saw this thread....Odd Skies do you live in Austin, shit I apologise if you were just visiting for the holidays and I missed this thread. Anyways ya' those spots that Seth mentioned are cool and worth skating There's also a park in Lockhart(about a 30 min. drive),it has a deep bowl end in the middle,a tight snake run behind the bowl,etc...I've only skated it once,it was fun,I wanna hit it again. New Braunfels also has a cool spot with 2 bowls/1 with a roll in and a big snake run that runs through a big chunk of the park. Anyways hit me up,once this weather breaks,I think I'm gonna go out to New Braunfels, same with you Kiss My Machine,if you want to skate let me know.

nah, i live a little south of fort worth and went down last saturday to play a show. i was wanting to skate when i went down there, but it ended up raining that night, so everything was still wet the next morning when we were wanting to. i was gonna try to go to round rock, though. place looks great. definitely gonna try to hit up a few of these places next time i'm down there, though.
