its a true story.

the best part of friday was when i got to say "this next song i havent played in a band for over a decade.  havent played it in green bay for thirteen years.  here is 'atom bomb'..."

Onions SUCK.

Put up a d/l link, here not on MySpace, PLEASE not on MySpace. MySpace also SUCK.

Let's hunt down and kill the TB motherfuckers who moved your main project.

we're working on a demo this week.  when i have some new material to post, i will include a direct download link.

and yeah, whoever moved this to the side project board deserves to die.  basically my whole life is dedicated to my music, and this is my main band.

well, we are playing pretty much every night and working on new material, both originals and covers.  guitar player brent has been out of control this week, we were supposed to be recording but instead everyone indulged in a bunch of partying and we are finally almost set up to record.  we already had 30+ songs before our last gig, and are trying to come up with at least 30 more.  i pretty much write a song every day.

anyways, lots of nature walks, liquor and smoking, and a barely functional band getting into adventures every night.

here's some recent rehearsal footage, suffice it to say none of it will be making the highlight reel (apart from maybe some of brents rants).

two covers and one original song

Where's the zip file Tonto?

Also, you should kill the drunk guy in the video. Or at least smash a gitar over his head.

the drunk guy is our guitar player.  he's playing in the videos.

we're tighteing up some new originals and start recording tonight, i should have some results within a week or so, then we need to start working on whatever set we're gonna do at our next gig in 2 weeks.

he's something else.  imagine what its like being his 5 year old daughter.  he is one of the most self centered sloppy ass drunks i have ever known, and i have known some sloppy drunks.  brent is amazing.  he was also second guitar in LSOK, i knew him since he was in 9th grade.

it was a tough call asking him to be in the band, knowing how he is.  keep in mind, the video of him being so stupid was taken at 7pm.  wait until we are playing some bar and dont even hit the stage until 10pm...

obviously not going to post the cream of the crop until the mother is ready to DROP.

so i will keep the outtakes to this shitty demo tape thread.

we did 6 songs tonight, including one on reel to reel.

here's an original riff we are working on, with a monster change.  this was while we were still setting levels:

this is a cover we mess around with, better than hendrix!

this is close to the recording mix we will be using:

actually ended up with 7 songs total from tonight

4 originals and 3 covers

the band is live, no overdubs

stereo mix straight into the PC, no multitracking.

i think it sounds pretty fuckin' good.

we wanted to record tonight but my guitar kept cutting out and then the tornado sirens started sounding so we headed to the upstairs of my barn for a storm watching party instead.

I lived here--Bowling Green Ohio, not Kentucky--for fifteen years. I don't think so. I never recall anyone responding to the sirens by running upstairs.

"Bowling Green-area historical tornado activity is above Ohio state average. It is 105% greater than the overall U.S. average"

oh, it was retarded, no doubt about it.  we had a discussion today that from now on, we will only have upstairs barn parties during severe thunderstorm warnings, not during tornado warnings.  ridiculously stupid, if we even got severe winds that shitty old barn would probably collapse.  however, the foundation is made of cinderblocks, so if we had time to run downstairs we would probably be ok.  i have seen many nearby towns with severe damage from storms, but we're practically on top of one of the largest bodies of water on earth.  as soon as a storm hits lake winnebago/green bay it begins to dissipate, and when it hits the cold lake michigan shoreline storms tend to die entirely.

nobody around here takes weather warnings seriously but old ladies.  we have way worse storms every year.  that old barn has stood for over 60 years. it has seen and will continue to see far worse.
