Anyone see this movie? Any good?
-
Saw it last night. Complete waste of time. One of the most boring and obnoxious movies I've seen in a very long time.
-
Whoah, so it's basically a big rim job daisy chain? Grody.
-
MUDDY WATERS. Can't do asstomouthtoasstomouth. It'd be easier to see a Serbian newborn get skull-fucked.
-
Yeah, I just heard about Serbian Film(and a good deal of spoilers including, uh, THAT scene). I have to admit I'm interested in seeing how far that movie takes it. Any torrents around?

do you know where at? searched around for a while and found nothing.

i can't believe i just watched that, kind of want to die now, disgusting

Loved every second of it. This Dutch/British production is better than all the US/Japanese torture porn crap there's around nowadays (Grotesque, Hostel, Saw etc.). Sick and funny, but what really carries the film is the villain wonderfully played by Dieter Laser.
-
Strangely looking forward to it.
-
Sucked.
-
That's not really a centipede
-
I hate movies like this.
-
The gore factor was also far less than I expected. The entire idea is that you're supposed to be horrified by ass-to-mouth. Sure...gross. The real problem is that the movie is just stupid.
I hadn't even heard of this "torture porn" would-be genre until I opened this thread. I actually thought "Hostel" was good, and I'm certainly not someone who seeks out horror films or anything. But this "A Serbian Film" shit seems like something else entirely. All the reviews and hype about it seems to be coming from horror fan sites...folks who hold something like "Salo" or "Irreversible" in the same light as they do "Faces Of Death" or fucking "Hellraiser". And all these folks post a strong "this shit will fuck you up for life" preface to their review. What.The.Fuck.
-
Saw this last night. I'd say I was disappointed, but honestly, I really didn't expect much. When it comes to eating shit on film I prefer a classic like 120 days of sodom.
-
Man, I blew this thread off thinking it was about this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gPvNjpxc27w (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gPvNjpxc27w)
The acting is strictly for porno-fans in this flick (HC, not CH).
I like the idea. Execution? Not so much.
I did laugh my ass off seeing the framed pic next to the bed of "doggie centipede".
More fun with pooh (other than Salo):
Sweet Movie (with Otto Meuhl)
Le Grande Bouffe (not eating it, but there is shitting oneself and farting to death!)
If I wanna' watch sadistic shit...I'll watch Star Of David (http://www.midnighteye.com/reviews/stardavd.shtml), Evil Dead Trap or some other Chinese/Jap-trash. At least they get "arty".
Never been a big fan of the Guinea Pig flicks and the like...but some of the titles are outstanding (Lolitta: Vibrator Torture!, etc.)
Mondo stuff is a whoot...1st Faces of Death is 80 percent faked (and obvious as hell)...and it outsold Star Wars in Japan in theatre gross's!
See also: Singapore Sling.

I saw some of those Guinea Pig videos about ten years ago and they were pretty disturbing. Haven't really been much of a horror fan ever. Had a brief fling with it freshman year of high school when my friends and I would try and rent the most bizarre horror stuff we could find at the local small town video store. Even then though, I preferred other stuff, that was more them than me. There are a few that I love (Shining, Jacob's Ladder) that are more psychological and shit. And there is stuff like Evil Dead and Peter Jackson's early stuff which is really more fun than anything. For a bit there years ago I tried to explore stuff like Hellraiser and Barker's work in general as a friend of mine whose taste I respect quite a bit had told me some interesting stuff about him and he seemed kinda "classy" as far as horror is concerned, but it never really stuck.
One horror director who I really do enjoy is Mark Borchart. He's got so little of it released, but seriously I watched Coven on shrooms down in Chile and that movie is so great. It's a super psychedelic film, even when not tripping. It's also completely psychological. The atmosphere is amazing too. His work reminds me of kind of a film version of my music. The atmosphere and subject matter is very similar. I've long thought about contacting him to do a music video for Pink Reason, but I don't really have the money to put up for something like that. I'd really love to collaborate with him though.
Read a bunch of Poe short stories that my little sister had laying around one time when I was on acid though, and that was really intense. Mad respect there, but again, haven't really read much other than that. Have always meant to check out some Lovecraft, but every time I have I've never gotten very far. His influence is felt in a lot of stuff I enjoy though.
I guess I don't really understand the appeal of most horror. Can anyone explain?

I love that as I'm reading this, I'm saying COE-ven (can't figure out how to make a 'long a' overbar), as only Mark Borchart would say. Man, speaking of, if you haven't watched American Movie WITH the commentary, do it!

I am with you on this. What appeals to me is also more psychological than graphic and definitely more on the surreal tip. Though blood & guts camp like the original Dawn of the Dead still amuses me.

I'm pretty into horror movies, but I'm not into typical slasher flicks... my favorite movies are the ones that use some kind of puzzle... I really liked the first Saw because of the whole "let's play a game" aspect... it reminded me of Se7en...

stuff like this is why i like horror

As someone that loves horror movies I'd agree that Guinea Pig, Evil Dead Trap and things of that ilk don't have any appeal as far as I'm concerned. I think they exist entirely for shock value, I dunno... not really my thing though I seem to always end up watching them anyhow.
