I remember seeing a flyer for a "steampunk convention" when I lived in San Francisco. I had no idea what steampunk was and asked one of my co-workers and their response was, "Well, have you ever seen the movie 'Wild Wild West' with Will Smith?"

Agreed. I'll have to remember to show this shit to my husband later, he'll get a kick out of it. A few weeks ago he emailed me a picture of a baby whose parents had dressed up in some ridiculous steampunk garb for (what I hope to God was) Halloween. Horrifying.
What I really want to know though, is - where were these images found? And how?

i happened to go to Disneyland for Bats Day, or whatever the Goth Weekender at the happiest place on earth is, and there were a very notable amount of steampunkers (heh) present and accounted for. Must be some sort of unholy alliance...
