what the fuck is this dude's deal? there's no way he can be an honest-to-god rapper. it has to be some sort of dadaist joke or something...he literally makes every other musician i've ever heard sound like a genius
(for those of you who aren't hip to the based god: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i8u6EodZseg)
-
He's the fuckin Based God.
BTW in case you didn't hear yet, he's naming his next album "I'M GAY"
-
I'm a huge Lil B fan and I don't even like his music.
-
My friends in Sacto put out a mostly zero-BPM album of Lil B which is synth music he made and flows over it.
It's like an entire double album of the dramatic intros to Prince songs. (think "Dearly beloved...we are gathered here today....)
-
Dude sucks.
-
i think most of what he's done is pretty good to great
-

Based God rules, you just gotta find the obvious humor in it.
-
Umm, what? Maybe I'll find I was on the wrong side of the equation ten years from now, but I think Lil B is the real deal:

The Nardwuar interview is incredible. He gives the BasedGod a copy of THE PACK (Germany) LP!
-

LIL B is dope, too bad 'I'm Gay' doesn't actually have a physical release and it's all his "serious" songs (which suck)

whats termbos take on this quote from his NYU lecture
"You guys are the first to hear it: I'm actually releasing my rock album. This is gonna be some garage punk. This one's for the rebels. Look out for the Lil B rock record, California Boy."

7" of the year: Lil B - Woo Woo Suck Mah Ballz (feat. Greg Oblivian)

I had never heard of the guy, but an old pal of mine just did this and posted a link on his facebook.

It reminds me of the italian "lol-hip hop" scene. It's like a internet meme/fad, it works like this: unskilled teenagers upload shitty videos of them trying to rap, and failing miserably, but still acting like if they were Snoop Dogg or something. It started out as people making fun of crappy rappers, but I think right now we're at a point where people would record shitty videos/songs just to end up on the lol-hip hop blog or get youtube-fame.
This country fucking sucks.

right after i heard this i wished i could get in on it. it could either be really fucking tight or really fucking shitty.
-
lil b is dead serious about his music. im so tired of people acting like lil b is some kind of sarcastic genius whos music is a part of some brilliant "social experiment". he is dumb as fuck and his god awful excuse for music is completely degrading to hip hop and not just hip hop but pretty much all music ever.

^for anyone that doesnt know who this dude is, this should about bring you up to speed

^something like that. there is no other logical way to explain all this terrible dubstep and dumbass cloud rap that everyone seems to be listening to.
