So basically, what are your favorite Skiffle records?

Wailers, Triumphs "Surfside Date," etc., US examples of the sound (basically). Is that what this is about? Technically, "garage" is a U.S. (usu. teen/youngster) reaction TO the Brit Invasion, but there are bands/songs that proceeded it which can (and have been) slip(ped) onto garage comps without anyone having an aneurysm.

Hasn't every thread this guy started been moved to the pop-punk board?  Uncanny consistency.

And yeah, this attitude is annoying and tantamount to the same silliness which sees anything heavy and amateurish being labeled as 'proto-punk' and anything slightly non-mainstream being labeled as 'psych' or 'freak rock.'  I guess I blame society?

Hey, someone's payin' attention to me. Delete the topic... I don't care. I guess my opinion of what garage rock is... is wrong?
