Just got the split cassette thing in the mail. Holy shit!

I remember Daniel used to buy all the good records at the shop I worked at when he was, what, like 12 or 13? I'm glad he's made good use of them. In case you haven't bought the 1st 2 singles, get on it.

I know Daniel reads this, so I want a Grape Escape (is that the name now?) CD-R.

Yeah, that split cassette is awesome!

I made up a genre to describe the band Sex With Girls (formerly Sex With Girls Is Rad) a couple of years back, and it was called "free twee." Much of this split cassette and the Car Commercials cassette fits the definition I had for the genre.

SWG is no more (and so is Weirdo/Begeirdo), so these cassette releases stand alone atop the pinnacle of free twee in 2006.

yeah Mike I can get you a GE CDR, my computer is broken now but I'll burn you one when I get my new comp.  The band is now called the Great Excape, we were called the Grape Excape before it was the Rape Excape.  Before that it was 'Gay Train' for a little while in like 11th grade.  "The Grape Excape" is officially the stupidest possible name for a band.

We stayed with Alex from Sex With Girls in Portland, Maine. Super awesome guy. I guess he knew Jeb (Dear Astronaut) for several years. One of the nicest, coolest people I met on tour. We left him some brown bread, and a sparks in his freezer. The sparks was an accident, but luckily he drank it before it exploded.
