Title: Need some help with Styli / Turntables
Post by: otroliga on December 06, 2011, 04:23:41 AM
Hi,

I don't have a lot of time to be hunting needles down so I figured there are enough people here that know something about record players.

I bought a Numark TT 500 turntable and i'm loving it, but after about 6 months the sound is scratchy and cutting out especially in one speaker and at the beginning of the record. I'm guessing my needle is bad although it's weird because everything sounds good towards the end of the album. I'm no dj or anything so there is no wear and tear on it.

Anybody else ever have this problem?

Any suggestions on good needles? I'm using a ORTOFON OM10 right now.

I appreciate any help
