THE HOSPITALS return to serve up big helpings of reverb tanked brofrostery. since anyone last saw them crawl into a hole, ned's been replaced on guitar by THREE guys: rob, rod, and chris. roD and roB have both played guitar in the band in hsptlz versions 1.0, and 3.0 respectively. chris has played guitar in portland's THE HUNCHES. i'm conjecturing this should be a real slammer of big sounds with these three guys all wailing at the same time, so bring ear plugs so you don't end up catching tinitus from stonehouse. that dude can't hear shit from playing in this band for so long. volume warnings aside, this is the rare loud band that whose sound should actually be enhanced by the natural cement mixer sound of the fools lounge area. you can preview some of their songs off of the myspace here: http://www.myspace.com/hospitals

CHAD AND KEVIN haven't steeped out in awhile, and i'm pumped that kevin got back from visiting the far east in time to be able to play this one. uh...don't think there's any songs up on the net for them, so i'll just say that if you have never seen them before that this is a good time to get your head blown open by the note hurricane that flies out of chad's sax everytime they set up to play. even if you don't think you like free jazz, give this a whirl and maybe go to http://www.weirdforest.com and get their 7-inch from chad. it rules.
BEACHES will be stepping out for the first time in awhile...kind of siked about that myself. robert and julian take a few days off from the sores and watching bette middler movies to make this band. they've got some crud up on the myspace here that you can not pay money for or listen to songs from: http://www.myspace.com/bchzz.
