Folks,

This show marks the end of Cheveu's US tour...GREAT live band as many of you have attested!!! For those who missed their NYC debut @ Passout Records...Do not miss this one!!!

jointly booked with Todd P at one of his off-the-radar locations...should be a blast!

Todd P/Dot Dash Present:

Friday, October 13 @ UNCLE PAULIE'S

:: Tunnel of Love
:::: Cheveu --------> from France
:::::: Ghosty
:::::::: Bossy --------> x Bent Outta Shape

[ UNCLE PAULIE'S ] ~~ air conditioned! ~~
NE corner of Monitor St & Greenpoint Ave | Greenpoint, Brooklyn
G train to Greenpoint Ave or L to Graham | 8pm | all ages | $6

[ UNCLE PAULIE'S ]
Uncle Paulie's is totally a temporary structure built out of blue canvas and two by fours on a slab of concrete next to the huge under-construction death star minaret upside-down hot-air-balloon lookin' sewage treatment plant in Greenpoint. During the daylight, men in hard hats eat fried food here. Totally patio! Easy to get to but so far out nobody cares! Noise & djs till the wee hours!

[ DIRECTIONS TO UNCLE PAULIE'S FROM GRAHAM AVE L TRAIN STOP ]
Exit the station onto the corner of Graham Ave and Metropolitan Ave. Walk West on Graham (towards the BQE overpass) for about 6 blocks. Turn right at Meeker St, walk about 4 blocks. Turn Left onto Monitor St and walk four blocks. Uncle Paulie's is on the corner of Monitor St and Greenpoint Ave, on your right. (This is walk kinda sketchy, for the record...)

[ DIRECTIONS TO UNCLE PAULIE'S FROM GREENPOINT AVE G TRAIN STOP ]
Exit the station onto the corner of Greenpoint Ave and Manhattan Ave. Walk North on Greenpoint (towards McGuiness Ave, away from the waterfront) for 8 or so short blocks. Uncle Paulie's is on the corner of Monitor St and Greenpoint Ave, on your right.

My band is playing this night, but after we're done, I'm gonna leave to see this show. Stoked! I imagine Cheveu's drummer has gotten really tight after these last couple weeks on tour.

Oh, and I saw a show at this joint last week and it's pretty cool. Kinda in the middle of nowhere, right by these new, crazy looking sewage treatment plants. Smells great, lemme tell ya. But they've got a little F. Gehry vibe going on.

If anyone's going to this and taking the subway, please learn from my mistake.
DO NOT walk from the L. It takes for fuckin ever. Transfer to the G, the Greentpoint stop is right down the street. Even if it seems stupid, make the transfer, you'll thank me later.

Hopefully find out today if this is where Tyvek show is gonna be.

woah! i have to say, wasn't crazy about the 2 cheveu 7"s, but damn! they ruled tonight. so impressed. except every other band sucked. i was looking forward to tunnel of love but was kinda disappointed. i think the record was better. maybe just wasnt in the mood, but after a bunch of shitty bands and that screechy whiny british girl band, i had the worst headache ever. and got to grand central just in time to miss the train by 3 minutes.

Yeah, I wish Cheveu sounded the same on their records as they do live, or at least 1/4 the same. Supposedly their white record is suppose to come closer to how they sound live thant he red record. At least that's what I got out of that black guy who was doing their merch when I talked to him.
