wow, i was expecting bad but not this bad.  did a quick google search, okay this is gonna suck.  clicked on spotify and listened to clips of four songs from three albums.  i notice they have a song about not copying the ramones and do your own thing or whatever, well, someone should play them an ALL album, because they sound like a tone deaf descendents doing all their shitty love songs.  i know its cliche but can i have that four minutes of my life back please???

It's the pop punk equivelant of Discharge in MRR review template "reminiscent of THE ERGS and..."

highly unoriginal and tone deaf singing, undeniably forgettable and easily ignored.  dont care how many people like it.  go start a kings of leon thread or something...

They're a huge band in the pop punk crowd, but they suck like the rest of them. Can't remember the name of the side project band they have that's got some good straight-up punk songs, but that was surprisingly decent.

There's some relation to Hunchback, right?  That band's pretty cool.  Good live.

Yeah Joey Erg is in the Night Birds. Members of the ergs have also been in Hunchback, The Dopamines, House Boat, Psyched To Die, For Science, The Measure (SA), Used Kids, Black Wine, Snakebite and a shitload of other bands. Psyched to die plays (or played) hardcore punk rippers. Decent stuff. Grave mistake put their records out, that could be the band youre thinking of

I never cared much about the ergs really. I lived in  a house in the mid 2000's and a bunch of gthe kids their flipped their shit. I always thought they were kind of boring. A few months back I tossed on the ergs double album collection thing that I got in a trade years earlier. I gotta say I enjoyed listening to it. Sure its nothing mind blowing but a solid listen.

i like that their last two album titles are references to the film Dirty Work, that's really my only thought when I think of that band.

Most of those bands are really shitty, but yeah - someone played select Night Birds songs (the ones that aren't all pop-punky, which is like half or so) for me once some years back and I thought they were alright. Heard them a few times since then, just straight-up punk rock, not bad at all.

If you enjoyed that double LP you should try and listen to "Upstairs/Downstairs". You'll like it if you enjoyed that other record i can pretty much guarantee
