Pierogi Pride Day is two days before my birthday. Eat a dick Pittsburgh.
-
There are more Polocks in Chicago than there are in Warsaw....and Pittsburgh...so all of you suck a kilbasa.
-
It's called "pieroshki" and obviously the best are made in Russia. DUH!!!
-
Kevin - there is a difference between pierogi and pieroshki that is about the same as the difference between Poland and Russia.

I don't see why anyone would want to visit a Polish restaurant in Chicago. Hey, let's eat food prepared by people who are used to making dishes out of shit that's nearly inedible! Sounds great! Fuck all of the good taco stands and pizza joints, let's get some potato soup!
-
I dunno... maybe cause they miss food from home? I would love to find a Russian restaurant. I really miss palmeni, my mom makes amazing borscht, but you just can't get good palmeni outside of Russia as far as I've seen.
-
Could be, but why would the American whiteys wanna go there?
-
I was raised eating a shitload of Ukranian food and I really miss it. It's hard to find the good stuff out here. Everytime I go back to Ontario for Christmas I pack up a half dozen pierogis from the local Ukranian Church in my suitcase. And although it's not exactly the same, I really enjoyed the food in the Czech Republic. The pelmeni I had in Prague were amazing.

I ate a lot of Italian & Polish food especially around the holidays. My mom made the best pierogi from scratch. Of course, from scratch. You arent gonna find pierogi in Sacramento otherwise. If I was in Chicago, I'd find a Polish place so I could get some good pierogi.

hamtramck is no slouch when it comes to polish food
-
Plate of pierogi with a hunk of kielbasa and some kraut and sour cream is awesome eats.
-
Yeah. I wish I took more Fridays off from work so I could eat at the Russian Orthodox church down the street. It's like six bones for homemade Polish food from a bunch of tiny women. Best pierogies ever.
