Jack Palance was a total rocker indeed.

Did you ever unravel The Legend Of Curly's Gold, Richard?

RIP Jack. I think my favorite Palance role (aside from "Shane" of course) is as the potsmoking villain with a fake hand and a pet hawk in the excellent spaghetti western "CompaƱeros" (1968). Tomas Milian, his co-star, tells on the dvd that Palance smoked real weed to get the part just right.

Toke on, Jack.

As I see it, there's now only three badasses left from the 'old school', Christopher Lee, Eli Walach and Ernest Borgnine. Sad.

i just watched 'contempt' last week.  Jack Palance was fucking rad and his character in 'shane' is one of the best hard-boiled villains ever.

Outlaw of Gor! The Big Knife!
He was awesome. Although I will admit I thought he died years ago.

Isn't he the bad guy in Tango And Cash too?
Was he ever nude in a film?

yeah, he was the main bad guy, Perret. there were 2 more bad guys, one of which is none other than James Hong, famous for playing Lo Pan in BTLC. Tango & Cash is amazing. I really like the part where Sylvester Stallone (Ray Tango) jumps through the screen door to attack a shadowy figure (really just the captain) who then says, "Is this the way you screen all your guests?" BRILLIANT!!!!

Why do you want to know if he was naked in a movie, Mitch? I seem to remember he wears a near-speedo in the Big Knife. And he lifts weights and gets oiled up for a massage. And kills himself.

He seems like a dude who would've got naked in his movies.

IMDB says he plays Fidel Castro in "Che". That may be better than Heston in Touch of Evil.
