ok flights actually bought. hamburg is a late night city right? my flight home is at 18h on sunday, i need to find stuff to do.

Yup, we don't have a curfew here and bars are open the whole night. The "good" R'n'R type bars usually close between 8 and 9am. After that you can keep going in dozens of cheap and cheesy bars that are open 24/7 (there's a boatload of Bars here that haven't closed their doors for even a minute for a few decades, no joke). So you can keep boozing and getting high til your flight home if you want. We even haven't imposed a smoking ban here so you can smoke in every bar, too!
Alternatively, there's a lot of touristy stuff to do--Hamburg is quite pittoresque especially in summer.
Gonna be there for the boat thing and Saturday night. The Kids are going to be amazing.
I too hope that the Kids ares still great! It's now 7 or 8 years since i last saw them but they were still great back then. The boattour is always great fun--cruising around the Hamburg harbour while getting drunk and watching a band. Not to be missed for out-of-towners!

ahh i think we are only arriving into hamburg after the afternoon boat gig starts... about 3pm... so i guess we won't be able to join this. i thought it would just be a docked up boat and we could just turn up. we're in berlin the friday night and getting the bus over. maybe we need to get an eariler bus.

Nah, that's the good thing about the MS Hedi boat gigs, that it is actually cruising and not docked so you get to see a harbour tour on top of the gig. It's always great fun almost regardless of which band is playing. If i were you, i'd try to come to Hamburg a bit earlier. However, the boat is berthing every hour for a few minutes so people can get on/off. So after it starts sailing at 14:30, it'll stop again at 15:30 and maybe even at 16:30 if there's a third round. Not sure if 2 or 3 hours are planned though but i can find out but often it gets decided spontaneously if they go for another round.

I saw them in Dresden about a month ago and they blew my head off!

at Auster-Club. it is just round the corner from cortina bob. don't know if there would be time to make both shows tho i think they are at the same time. i am sure whichever show you choose will be great and all the bands are playing at Get Lost the next day anyway
