Last week on eBay I got this old Weirdos flyer from '77. Who cares. This was writen on the back. It must be a continuation from something written on another flyer it seems. Nothing great but I'm jealous. I love reading old shit. Here goes:
"Then a few weeks ago $ they they WERE HOT. PIL were pretty good too. Cramps this weekend. Ramones soon, too. Saw Thunders a couple months ago. BORING! Too bad - I went there w/ high expectations. I see the Zarkons (Alley Tabbies) a lot & also T. Monster are two of my faves at the moment. What do you think of their records?
When are you coming down here again? If not - just send me some records! Or some Weirdos stuff - tapes I haven't heard. I'm still working on getting demos. I am getting Crowd demos from 79. Oh, and ex Crowd/Flyboys (sextet) have a new EP out that I haven't hoid yeat but I hear it's great!
What's new in your life? How's school? Still in any bands? Tell me about yourself, whatchamacallit?!"

Is this supposed to be cool or somethin?
Why would one buy a flyer from a show that someone didn't go to? I don't understand memorabilia collectors.
-
Just throwing out a wild and crazy guess, but maybe it's just interesting.
I know that's a bit far fetched though.

i wouldnt buy one but i would sure as hell wanna get one...or some
maybe some people just got too much $$$$$$$
go and check out the ebay and see for yourself

Those bands they're talking about are mid to late 80's vintage, I think. Weren't the Zarkons a later incarnation of the Alley Cats? Maybe old age is taking over my brain. But, I assume "T. Monster" is Thelonious Monster.
So, if that is the case, then you don't really need to be that jealous of those shows. Lame PiL, Fur era Cramps, etc etc.

Yes you got the time right on that letter. horrid.

I will be heading to the copy machine and then ebay very soon
I might even add some "interesting" letters on the back

"Hey, it was good seeing you at the Crime show they other night. They gave me a tape of their unreleased LP that they recorded in some expensive studio. Sounds amazing. By the way, we have to talk...you know how my dad works for the FBI? Well, he told me who shot JFK...shit, I have to go...bye"
