There's not much going on in NEPA. Embassy Vinyl is Scranton is okay. Gallery of Sound has a few locations. The only one I ever visited was the Dickson City location. Musical Energi is W-B is supposed to be a decent place. When I was in the area there was a small venue in W-B that had punk shows but I think it was mostly pop/trendy "punk".

There are a bunch of cool punks in Allentown, but I don't have any of their contacts anymore. Go to a show there and talk to people, they're very approachable there.

Thanks for the input. I never really bothered checking out any of record stores around here as I figured they'd be kinda lame but I have been curious lately. I have heard theres a pretty good one in Allentown that caters to the punks.

Double Decker? I've heard good things about that place. I know people who travel there from out of town, so it can't be too bad. Probably a good place to find out about what's going on locally as well.

Day trips to NYC and Philly should be on your list. Easy access to both cities helped keep me sane during the 18 months I lived in Scranton.

Yeah, I plan on at least making a trek to Double Decker in the near future. If there's any one local interested in checking it out as well, let me know. I'm also well overdue for an NY visit.
