Going to spend Christmas in Hawaii with my girl and Kids. 1 week in Oahu and another one in Maui. Pretty stoked! Not so much stoked for the 11 hours plane ride with a toddler sitting on my knee but that's another story....
- I want to buy hawaiian music records only, any good record store to check out?
- I want poke real bad! is supermarket the best place to get fresh/cheap poke?
- what are the best hawaiian beers? any good IPA worth checking out?
- Can i hike diamond head with a toddler?
- Anyone ever did the Pipiway Bamboo trail?
- I want to buy tiki mug and start a huge collection, where i can i get these?
Where can i buy a christmas tree? Does a palm christmas tree sounds more appropriate?
any advice is gladly welcome...

Maui - go to the Haleakala Crater and leave for it with enough time to be a the top at sunrise - it will be near freezing at that time, so bring warm clothing. Any other time is not worth it because the clouds come in and kill all visibility by mid morning.
I don't know about poke, though I know I've had some; I just can't remember where. Go on a rainforest hike.
Go to Paia and eat at Paia Fish Market. It's awesome. Also, just across the street, Flatbread pizza has good pizza and tons of beers on tap. I don't remember any specific one, but I liked what I had there.

i was just in maui last month. i wasn't able to find any good record stores but there is lots of delicious food.
for poke i'd recommend checking out this place called "eskimo candy" in keihi. http://www.eskimocandy.com/ their fish and chips are really good too!
as far as beer goes, maui brewing company is pretty good and kona brewing company has an alright ipa.
