Hi there, does anyone have the Silly Killers EP on No Threes or knows some details about it?
I am not aware of any reissues/ boots, but just got a copy and was wondering if it is an original. I was under the impression (based on Discogs and popsike pictures) that the original cover is deep black, has an opening flap at the back, and a high gloss finishing; the cover of the copy I got is: heavy cardstock pocket sleeve (folded at bottom, glued left/ right, opens at top but no opening flap on the back), matte finishing / more greyish, writing on the back looks a bit blurry (as the case when printing photos or scans).
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks!

Not sure if this forum is still about collecting punk records... but there were similar copies of The Vains 7's that you described which weren't a boot but a later made sleeve for stock copies if memory serves

Thanks for the info, that could be te case...strange though that there is no auch copy on Discogs, Popsike etc. I remember that there are two versions of the Vains sleeve (and that the EP was apparently also sold sleeveless back in the days), I just thought that the later sleeves were simple xerox and not on heavy cardboard.

I am at WFMU. Saw a Silly Killers/Vains boot 7". The sleeve had the cover for Silly Killers on one side and Vains on the other.

I got an original copy (paid $2.99 for it at Schoolkids in Exile in AA... yup, braggin') that is a paper sleeve... I'll try to dig it out for further inspection. pdxpaul's analysis appears to be sound.
