Anyone got a lead on one of these? Didn't even know it was out and it's gone. One of my favorite current bands and would love a copy. Got the mp3zzzz and it's proper.
Thanks

Wait a sec, Hank Wood is aka Henry Wood?

Don't know him. Would he be responsive to a stranger writing about copping an oop single?

Henry Owings aka Mr. Chunklet

Hey Clif...its worth hitting Henry up. I can ask him if he has any looming copies fi you'd like. Also you probably know, but it is a lathe cut. Sound quality is actually really great, but not as good as if it was pressed. Henry did also do a tape that collects the Nag 7" along with the other 2 lathes he did at the same time (DiCaprio and Death Stuff) which are also really cool. If you want I can snag another one. I had them, but sold out. Henry probably still has them through his site as well. Actually looking now and he doesn't. So yeah if you'd like me to try to get a tape let me know! (or did you already order one from me i can't remember lol) Either way I'll see if i can track one down locally for you.

Thanks. that would be great. I think I bought the Nag demo from you. Email will be sent. Looking forward to hearing the whole uniform album too. Thanks again.

What I wanna know is how anyone actually obtained one of these? I saw on Discogs that it was coming out, so I tried watching the Chunklet site, but it didn't seem like it was ever made available and now it's all gone.

they were sold at a triple release show at 529 in atl, with the other two bands josh mentioned above.
they were $15 there so i passed, and instead picked up the other nag single they had there, which i thought was the 'non lathe-cut' version of the chunklet one.
but it was their single on space taker(not listed on discogs as far as i can tell, if you are looking for that one too).
best band in atl at the moment.

Can hear all 3 singles here: https://chunklet.bandcamp.com/album/three-singles
Great stuff w/ Nag on top, of course.
Death Stuff rules (despite that dumb name). The tape on Monofonus is excellent.
DiCaprio reminds me a lot of McClusky.

not funny. not interesting. this would have made a better dm than post. only clif should have been subjected to this nonsense.

Yeah there were only 30 copies....the band probably got 3, I'm sure Henry kept a few for himself....so in reality its probably more like 20-25 out there....so they probably went locally pretty quickly and any that made it online went very quickly....
To anyone that wants a tape send me a pm and I will make sure to get more copies. All 3 bands are great, with Death Stuff and DiCaprio being younger kids bringing in a new age of punk in Atlanta.
I feel like there was a couple years where punk was verryyyyyyy uncool here in Atlanta for younger kids....and i feel like some of them have begun to see that punk still has merit as a movement musically and for organization....so we are seeing younger kids here making punk in their own image. It;s great....still riding the unending darkness that we all enjoy here, but maybe down different tributaries.
To any of you that have bought records or followed any Atlanta bands over the years, we really appreciate it. Everyone here celebrates each other, but due to our location and the fact the most folks from here don't tour or at least very much....it's kind of an oasis outside of the region. We are ok with that, but hey it's nice to hear some folks enjoy it.

u don't have to try for me because i don't really care if people post funnt or interesting things on here. u were the 1 who was so concerned about it in the other posts, but you live in th biggest glass house ever. just trying to keep up the consistency you seem to demand from others

Speaking of Atlanta bands, I loved that Cops 7" - I was hoping that was gonna turn into more. Probably because I missed the Carbonas so much.
Cranefortune, as much as you appreciate and thank all of us for taking notice on Atlanta bands - I thank and appreciate you guys (other labels included) helping to get it all out there beyond Atlanta.
Apologies for taking a stroll down Atlanta memory lane on the Nag thread.

There was talks of a Cops LP for awhile, but they haven't played in years. Jesse opened a restaurant which is pretty demanding of his time. However there is a new band called Hyena with (Gentlemen) Jesse and most of Bukakke Boys...more along the lines of them and Mercenary. should have some of their demos soon (coming out on Scavenger Of Death).

You're right I'm very concerned with quality control. Just trying to live up to Richie's dream and provide a future for all you newbies. I wish I had the biggest glass house. Its decent enough i guess, we are kinda packed in here though. I do love putting on a show though so good thing its not tinted! Thank you so much for TRYING to keep up the consistency. I know one day with my grooming you will really come into yourself as an online avatar. God Bless you, this board, and our wonderful country! Have a great weekend Venus!
And velcro play nice!

there's a lot of hurt in this thread... everyone tell your parents you love them

NAG are working up a 12" at the moment. Should be pretty cool.

Nice! Cant wait to hear it. I didn't know Jesse was running a restaurant - that's crazy. I sent him a couple messages a while back about possibly doing a singles collection LP but never heard back - oh well. Glad to hear he's still making music.
Sincerely
Me
PS - fuck yes Rich (on the Nag 12")!

Ended up getting a copy of the all three singles tape. Thanks for all the extra info and shenanigans.

The COPS 12" would have likely been a disappointment. Our songs were long, slow, and wanky.
The HYENA demo on the other hand is sick and is finally available: https://scavengerofdeathrecords.bandcamp.com/album/demo-3 (https://scavengerofdeathrecords.bandcamp.com/album/demo-3)
GG King has a 7" coming out which I think is really cool. That guy ages with so much grace. He's also supposed to sing on about half the tracks for the Ryan Dinosaur lp, which after 30 tracks and six years will finally be complete. Whether it will be anything other than insufferable is another matter.
What is the deal with the hate for cranefortune? Will donate to a gofundme that provides Velcro with a hugging apparatus.
