It's Papa John's for me.
-
Where are you that Little Ceasar's delivers?
-
They might not anymore, I never eat it. Is it just carry out by you? Weird.
-
ive never seen a delivery little caesers. anyway, i work at a pizza place and i say if ur gonna eat pizza just buy frozen unless you are getting stuff from somewhere local.
-
I mean if you live in NJ, NY or CT and you order this shit instead of a local you may as well just put on some velcro shoes and learn the bus routes
But if I'm in like Topeka KS I'll settle for Dominos
-
Is Hungry Howies national. Detroit is the epicenter of shitty pizza: Little Caesars, Dominos, HH...
-
Home Run Inn Frozen pizza beats anything you have listed above...
-

We just ate a Doreen's frozen- tastes and smells like Hegewisch.
-
Pizza Hut was my only option for years in Japan....so happy to have many options now, with these places within walking distance...

Cool thread
-
Out west, the "finest" big-chain options are Mountain Mike's and (distant 2nd place) Round Table. I live in a decent pizza delivery dead zone, so I'm overly familiar with these corporate style offerings.
And yes, those frozen Home Run Inn discs are the best I've had, better than some of my local deliveries (dead zone, like I said). They barely need any doctoring [pre-bake olive oil schmeering, additional cheese, etc]. Not cheap though...
-
I'm relieved to say I've never had any of these except Pizza Hut, since I live in NY where you dont have to eat garbage pizza. Pizza Hut used to have a Sabres game deal where you would get like 3 pizzas and salad bar for $5 a person - we would go before the game and the first person who had to take a shit had to buy beers the rest of the night.

Yeah you can get in at any of the big chain grocery stores on the west coast...they are based out of
Chicago so I will assume they can be had in the midwest as well...
-
order pizza from amazon.com thats the future
-
Papa John's was my fave when I lived in Florida.
Hungry Howie's is terrible.
Pizza Hut is ok but they rely on too many bullshit gimmicks.
-
Nowhere in Cleveland carries those frozen Home Run Inn pizzas anymore...in Chicago, those were everywhere in a ton of different varieties - their single-serving personal pizza was good in a pinch. Would definitely take one of those over any of the choices here.
But I've tried them all besides HH - I'd say Papa John a slight step up in quality compared to the other 3 chains. Really no reason to order any of these though - I have 2 local places I'd take over them any day - Angelo's (Very good, but pricy) and Nunzios (Cheap, greasy, delivers to 4AM)
-
pizza hut uses frozen dough, dont fuck with that for the cost.
-
Shout out to: Jack's Pizza. Another good frozen option. Three bucks.
Also dig the DiGiornio French Bread packs.
-
Grotto in Coast Delaware. Favorite pizza hands-down
-
I second Home Run Inn, its insane how good they are. A bit pricey for frozen pizza but def better then all the ones listed.

Jack's cheese is my favorite frozen pizza. Not always easy to find here though the pepperoni is everywhere.
-
I agree with those who say Papa John's is best of the 5 chains in the quiz...however, we don't fuck with them or Domino's because of their right-wing/religious ties. We don't have Hungry Howie's here in Portland, and both Pizza Hut and Little Caesar's fucking suck. We usually do frozen or pick up from Flying Pie.
Portland has so much fucking pizza that you could write a 100-page thread just about that, and by the time you got there, there'd be even more pizza to talk about. This town is INFESTED with pizza - not that I'm complaining, 'cause I love that shit!
-
None of the above. Round Table is the best chain/delivery pizza joint.
-
I brought this up with a friend: we both agreed Hungry Howie's is the worst. CiCi's was mentioned, too, although they do not deliver. I have had some of the worst stomach aches/diarrhea after scarfing down Hungry Howie's. I dunno what they put in those, but it's toxic to my system.
-
Dominos thin crust w/ green peppers and pineapple. Make sure to get plenty of the edge slices
-
Domino's and Pizza Hut both make a tasty thin-crust pie but Domino's and Pizza Hut pizzas are categorically not food; they also leave a proprietary grease smell on one's hands that lingers for hours.
One lives in America's pizza capital and there's no end to the outstanding delivery options available here. The local at chez nous is Mama Tina's.
As far as regional chains are concerned, one is hard pressed to think of a more delicious, idiosyncratic pie than that of Mellow Mushroom. Famous Famiglia is a delicious, generic New York slice available at airports, tourist destinations, etc.
Fresh Direct and Whore Foods each offer a delicious frozen pie in cheese or pepperoni flavors.
-
when it frozen i fuck with these

nooooo dr oetker tastes like a biscuit. I ate them too many times I must admit but it is not a pizza.
-
I can't imagine thinking that Papa John's is an acceptable pizza option. I mourn for you all. You might as well just put some ketchup on a bagel with melted skim-milk mozzarello. Domino's is ok in a predictable way, the toppings are terrible though. Here in NJ we settle for nothing less than the upside-down Sicilian pie. 21 bucks and you're eating for a week.
As for frozen I used to get the Mama Celeste but it's been years.
-
Wherever you live (UK for me) I would think it goes without saying that generic chain pizza by definition is infinitely inferior to independent Italian pizzerias.
In practice, and in my experience this is generally true.
On that basis and given the easy access to pizza everywhere in the western world (Bristol is saturated), there is no reason to choose a lesser option.

Papa John's is the absolute worst option, total fucking trash. their greasy cheese is a congealed mass of drained zits
-
Those Dr. Oetker pizzas do rock!
-
Rich people in PDX and Punks buy stupid Sizzle Pie pizza ::) They have some sort of D-beat pizza. Not even joking. Dumb bullshit! My friend pays like $30 for one because they tip $6. Burnside fucked up their order last time by wrapping their cheese pizza in foil and when they opened it up the cheese stuck to the foil so it was just marinara sauce. I hate rich people / snobs tho. All expensive food shit is overrated. "It's made by hand, had better ingredients & tastes better!" Yeah.. No one cares!!!!!!! I like famous baker Duff Goldman because he's said on one of his TV programs he never goes out to eat because it's overpriced and wastes money. I feel the same way! :)
