After seeing a bunch of posts about this event I kept reading it as CHILL DOG FEST. Which sounds like more fun. I like chili dogs and all, but would much rather meet some chill dogs.

Chili Dog Fest is my favorite SXSW-related event (even though they didn't do it last year). Not so much a fest of chili dogs (you only get one per admission) but it's for a good cause (benefit for the local food bank). Lots of local bands, good time all around.
