I saw David Nance about a year ago, and it was the best show I've seen from a current (non-reunion/nostalgia) act in the last three years at least...and that's from someone who hasn't been into any of his non-cover LPs in their entirety, despite really liking certain songs (especially the title track from Negative Boogie). I was stoned when I listened to this song for the first time the other night and it sounded immediately familiar, so much so that I thought it was a cover...but then I realized that it's such a striking song that I still remember it very clearly from hearing it live once a year ago. Maybe I've been singing it in my dreams since then...who knows.
Looking forward to hearing the new album in full.

Have listened to the new one a few times now. Can't imagine that many will be disappointed. There's a lot to dig into. Really looking forward to the Chapel Hill show. Nathan Bowles' trio will be opening.

I was able to nab a test pressing off someone. And yeah, they're billed as the David Nance Group on the record and that's how I imagine how they'll be touring.

Nab those last couple of singles too if you haven’t already. An LPs worth of goodness on both. Such a talented dude/band. Definitely have their own thing going on.
