Vanilla Trainwreck is the band. I heard this on 120 Minutes when I was in 9th grade and have spent months trying to finally track it down. I had nothing to go by except a few snippets of lyrics I remembered. Was probably on a couple of alt rock TV shows back in the day and then disappeared. They were on Mammoth Records, but since the clip only has a thousand or so views, there is no cult following for this jam.
Does anybody remember this or have any info on them?

Pretty sure they were from NC but I dunno.
Handsome fellas, too:

There are a number of these bands. Usually, I'll recall them from an old 411 skate video. Or it's some random Homestead 12" EP at a record store.
Enjoyed hearing this one and adding it to the pile.

All I can garner is that they broke up the same year this came out (their only video, I think) and the lead singer later got into production and worked with Ryan Adams early in his career.
100% this was on "120 Minutes" one night, because I taped it on VHS. It was also on Rage, which is where the youtube transfer came from. 120 was big enough back then that even obscuro stuff has a cult of 10,000-100,000 youtube viewers who have tracked it down. Never tracked down something like this that only had 1,000 views, despite being on national television.
Lost to the mists o' time.

Yeah, Raleigh band. The drummer went on to be in The Cherry Valence. I haven’t thought about either of these bands in 3,000,000 years. Life is long.
