Whoa there's some gems in there! Great!

Thanks, I'm not just throwing everything against the wall, these are all tracks I really like, and I've gone through hundreds (maybe even thousands) recently. I'm taking a short break due to all the BS going on in the world, but will regroup coming up with dozens more bands & tracks. Eastern WI was a hotbed for some years there.

Since it's up over 120 clips and a bit unwieldy if you're just starting out, here are a dozen highlights of the unreleased 1995-2009 Wisconsin songs I've been putting up:
* Killer GB KBD high school punk via the Clark sisters (Tuff Bananas, Bold Ones, Flips, Tears), BTO and Tabman (Holy Shit!, Phylums): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BmbOBKVPlTg
* Awesome downer track from Kevin (Pink Reason) and Casey (Hue Blanc), similar feel to the first Pink Reason LP: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QGK6_UfzwK8&t=40s
* After all these years and all those retrospective releases, you'd think there wouldn't be any quality unreleased Last Sons of Krypton songs, but there are in fact a number of them. This is one of their best songs, chainsaw guitars and an Electric Eels feel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hmmTPyspmFE
* Cool bedroom psych from a Madison band in 1995: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RJIIIq5AmHE
* Excellent synthpunk band that never played a show, Paul Reject + Lee/Michele pre-Gut Reactions. I put up all five of their recorded songs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bomZhHRO5N4
* The earliest line-up of the Catholic Boys had Lugs on drums. You can hear that version on their first 45, a split with the Kill-A-Watts. At one point, Lugs quit in a huff, so they added Logan (ex-Los Nosferatu) and took a song Lugs had written the music for and wrote some diss lyrics about it. Logan quit right before their first show with him (Lost Sounds in Green Bay), so they taught Eric Apnea, who'd played with them in the Teenage Rejects, the songs for a "one-time" set. The one-time set turned into years of touring and releasing records. This is a snapshot of a very brief time in the band's history: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dMqH3L0mZ1A
* The Kind of Jazz Music That Kills were like Flipper with keys, violin and sax riding over the top. A bit of their contempo sound of the time, sometimes came across as a Hunches type excursion: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PynIMzMrzEs
* Mike Zink is a Green Bay legend, but most outside the area know him as a side-man in groups like the Mystery Girls and Hue Blanc. Here's a song from his first aborted solo album in '96, when he was in high school. He recorded and played all the instruments on this cool garage pop song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G5zCUubdfMo
* Back in 1996 when the Mystery Girls were 14-15 years old, they were The Runs, a primitive punk band: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5BWnQM2Nwb0
* Great Hue Blanc side-project, a sort of Flying Nun/Expressway feel on this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mff3eU7fqRs&t=25s
* Here is an attack project by Tabman and Paul Reject, where they'd bust in unannounced and set up between bands, wearing dresses and insulting everyone. VOM KBD vibe: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z6CJXj-cuuw
* From Manty hardcore band The Droids, a track from their unreleased album in '96 when they'd been heading into a more post-punk arena: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tx_30833HKY

So good. I used to listen to the tracks on their Myspace page all the time. Still sounds great. Shame it never got a proper release.

Paul said they had a number of "offers," but both went on to full-time bands and just dropped it (Catholic Boys & Holy Shit! plus other things). At least one song wouldn't make it past the current-day censors, so that'll probably never happen. I put 2 of the 3 best songs up, at least....
Probably gonna do another batch of clips coming up, maybe when it gets colder up here and I descend into White Hell and never leave the house. Got some great ones sitting about...
