The Basement has a "no punk bands" policy, so I never go to shows there. It's more of a singer/songwriter sort of place. The 5 Spot would have been a much better venue for this show, but now I don't have to worry about being in town for the show.

finally confirmed the 10/31 nyc show for coathangers so thats that. gonna start booking the demons claws return shows now.

beat beat beat will be doing the first leg of the tour with coathangers...i'm trying to get them added to the shows that are already booked and in the event the bill is full they'll be playing in a town close by. they're already added to the boston show.
and i've been modifiying the first post in this thread with any updates. check back there for any/all changes.

anyone caught any of the shows yet? i heard beat beat beat destroyed the philly club and had the cops called on them. they also missed the first show b/c one of them went to jail after their atlanta kick off show. ha!

Just got back from playing the Demon's Claws show here in Boston.
About three songs into the DC's set, Piero just walks off stage and goes to the bar, which is in a separate room, and spends the rest of the set there. After the set ends, Piero and Jeff get into some kind of odd hair-pulling slapfight, whcih was broken up by the tour manager.
I think this was their first stop on the tour, so it'll be interesting to see how things pan out for the rest of their shows. Especially considering that they broke up or whatever a month or so ago.

just talked to travis who's with demon's claws...apparently there was more hair pulling going on in the van this morning. i think that's just what they do though, nothing to be concerned with.
also, found out the reason piero walked off stage was b/c the piano was giving him trouble. he found it on craiglist in philadelphia and i paypaled the guy and the coathangers picked it up on the way to the boston show. it was the first time he'd ever played it. he should be able to figure it today.

Yeah, the keyboard was pretty horribly out of tune. I assumed that's why Pierro walked off, but then afterward I noticed the scuffle and thought otherwise.

I've been describing Demon's Claws to people as "they sound like a barfight," so it's good to know that they won't be disappointing people.
