« on: December 16, 2013, 04:07:39 PM »
Looking for a homie to rent my studio for two weeks (Dec 21 - Jan 4). Smack dab in the middle of shit-heel downtown....great for poseurs. Really close to any overpriced bars/overrated "ethnic" food.

Juan Jos? Saer, Scars.  Excellent so far.  Equal parts sexy, sparse and foreboding.  (Thanks, Arturo.)

Whoa I just heard about Saer for the first time this weekend (I was recommended "The Witness"). Just finished a Salter book -- ok but reads like dollar-bin Hemingway, and started I Served the King of England which is great.

Trying this again -- I'm gonna be travelling from June 7 - July 7 and would appreciate someone watching my place. It's a studio in the most city-rock setting imaginable. Looking for a grand, which is pretty tits considering the dummy-high rents around here. Get at me if you're into it.

is Los Angeles cool? I wanna move out of Rochester/the East Coast sometime in the near-ish future, but i haven't considered where-to yet.

If you're into never washing your hair, weed, arguing about pastrami, and being ignored by everyone on the street, go for it.

Shane White and I have a new band The Krells with Sherrilyn from The Omens and Carrie from The Wendy Kroys and The Get Offs.
We are playing a show Monday, May 14 at the Hemlock Tavern, 1131 Polk St, SF - early 6pm.

The Krells

Carolyn, your band is really good. Cool seeing Shane White play such quiet, understated 'riffs'. It helped that you opened for the greatest/worst band I've ever seen. Forgot what they were called, but they were like what I picture a Damned show to be like now.

I don't foresee myself relocating this summer, but out of curiosity what are the average rents in that area?

So you have no interest whatsoever, but you'd like a rundown of the rents...WHAT THE FUCK'S THIS GOT TO DO WITH ME??????

wondering if it's more expensive than nyc?  how big is the studio?  have you listed it on AirBnB?  Just wondering, sorry.

I pay $950 and it's regular studio size I guess. I haven't listed it on AirBB because I want to avoid some maniac German jizzing all over my ska 45's.

How smeared is the dogshit, exactly?

Quite. And it looks just like the liverwurst on the Banh Mi you're eating at the bus stop extremely hung over.

I'm trying to sublet my room for a few weeks in July. It's centrally located in a mystery section of downtown (with the initials 'T' and 'L'), two blocks from BART, close to Vietnamese sandwiches, bargain bath salts, 635,897 bars, plenty of smeared dogshit and BRACE & Vinnie.  It's a nice-a place. Cheap.
