Music Shit / Re: CRIME "MURDER BY GUITAR" RIP OFF
« on: June 16, 2014, 08:33:24 AM »
Hello CRIME fans!

After decades in the waiting, the LP collection of CRIME's three singles + early studio recordings will be released on Superior Viaduct on August 19th, 2014.

CRIME apologizes for the long delay with this release, espeically for fans who ordered via Kitten Charmer last year. We will make the best attempt to honor those individual pre-orders with limited edition red vinyl. Plus, you will receive a special poster signed by the band.

To redeem your Kitten Charmer pre-order, please email murderbyguitar@superiorviaduct.com along with your PayPal receipt. If your mailing address has changed since your original order, please be sure to include your new mailing address.

Thanks for your patience!

You are receiving this email because you were on our list of Kitten Charmer pre-orders for the LP collection CRIME Murder By Guitar.

You could do a lot worse than paying $115 a year to subscribe to the Cotton Exchange (run by Dave Katznelson/Birdman records):
http://thecottonexchange.net/

the subscription has been basically anything here that is blues:
http://www.discogs.com/label/156000-Sutro-Park

Even if you aren't subscribed those LPs have been in the blues bins the last couple years and are all worth picking up, though it would be a lot more expensive to buy them individually in stores.  Subscription comes with a great newsletter, it is a good thing all around.

I am a fan of Bo Carter too, I was a guest on Dave's show on KUSF in Exile a while back to play some BC, it is archived here:

Relatively Clean Rivers LP
Meh.

some of it reminded me of the Pretty Things "Parachute", i put the songs i liked best from both of those on a CDR and it stayed in my car CD player for months
