Will take the classic Three 6 stuff with DJ Paul's demented shitbox beats instead any day of course, but the mixtapes are quite alright, too.

Private press outsider jazz fusion/porno funk. Perhaps, one of a kind? Just found out about this guy today. The "Fancy Dancer" track off that single of his is a pretty great mess for sure.

Punk really hit me when I finally got to see the visual side of it. I was 19-20, youtube was still a fresh thing. Minor Threat at Buff Hall, Cramps at Napa State Hospital, some Crass live clip, Antioch Arrow inside a truck trailer, Soviet stuff like Kino, Bashlachev, Gr. Oborona. I watched all those daily for a couple of years.

i had the displeasure of seeing svenonius' weird war band in brooklyn around 2005 or so while working the door at the show.  a few beers in, they sounded even worse.
I saw Chain and The Gang about a month ago. Maybe not the worst thing ever, but painfully boring. He had an all-girl backup band that was doing funk or something, shit I don't even remember. All I recall is how small and wrinkled he looks in real life, with his completely unimpressive get-up and his act that felt completely irrelevant to everything.

new TV Ghost song as well. Very excited about the more spaced out/atmospheric direction they are taking. Kind of like Cheap Time, another band that popped in the same scene and time and has only been getting craftier over the years.

In HIGH FIDELITY the main character listens to a demo from 2 teen skaters and is inspired to start a label  The demo is actually Royal Trux doing Inside Game.
Holy shit! I've never heard the EP that song came off and it doesn't exactly sound like a standard Trux song (if there even is such a thing), so this whole time I had no idea. That makes me hate that movie a little less. Great song, too, now that I'm checking out the full thing.

Has anyone on here ever mentioned how ridiculously good the whole Wildflowers series is? No better place to start digging into free/avant-garde jizz than here.

Isn't every Puffy Areolas song at least loosely about wrestling?

"To The Wonder", Malik's new flick. Actually pretty decent for something that's at least a good 30 minutes too long, features Ben Affleck, a love story that blooms in postcard Europe, Wings of Desire-style voiceovers (some unnecessarily in foreign languages), Americana cliches, people who think they are gypsies, and other things that are supposed to make it completely unbearable. Would not watch this again, though.

I could seriously fuck with some house music slathered in escalating noise and extatic, cacophonous breakdowns.  Where can I get something like that?
If you wanna keep it limited to house, then Theo Parrish has definitely been making the weirdest house tracks for the past 15 years. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nYNY2NrFiZM
This one is not by him, but released on his label and I love it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1bZSdl1YUvY
This one is pretty sick. First wave house, 1986 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xmz3SVuHPhs
This one is probably my favorite house track ever. A Chicago bleck doing it French style https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VrEZZVkgY2w

I dunno, user:scott b's suggestion is probably more along the lines of what you're looking for though.
