Mojo books and music on fowler in Trampa between usf and university mall.

we've been a band 4 years and we're playing a show.  2 sets.  guest stars.  insane.

justin robert performing drums keyboard and prepared tape at the same time and more weird music in support.

live collage by artist bradley kokay.  show starts around 7ish or so.

mo tucker is one of my favorite drummers of all time.  y'all are too dudely.

i like the criticism of this paris 1942 record.  a lot of it is very well thought out.  i'm still excited about it, meandering and all.

best band i've never heard before today: paris 1942.  sun city girls 1983 (pre SCG) with mo tucker drumming

surprised i've never run across this before!  bad ass!

this is going to be a killer show.  most of st pete bikes instead of drives, so its gonna be a little difficult getting people all the way to tampon.  this will be blast and the detergents first tampa show in over a year i think.  and we live 15 minutes away.

i think i'm gonna have B+td buttons if the mail works out!

Non-Music Shit / Re: Philip K Dick recommendations???

I liked We Can Build You. Also read some book about him that was pretty cool, it made him sound like he was a party machine.

Can't help but to notice that it's no chicks and just dudes in the dick appreciation thread.

well his female characters are pretty 1 dimensional.  my wife always calls me a pkd apologist b/c i make excuses about his relationship with women informing his female character development.  it definitely got better and more thought out though.  by the valis trilogy i feel that the women in his books are fully developed.  (especially transmigration, his only female lead character narrator novel.)

VALIS is my favorite book of all time!  second is psychotic reactions and carburetor dung by lester bangs!

you are getting solid advice on here - especially from SSR.  I think The Man in the High Castle and Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep are good ones to read early also.
