Inherent Vice sucked. I understand where it was trying to go, but i feel like they literally just turned the book straight into a movie script, which doesn't work. Characters and acting was good, but there was no problem/solution defined and all the characters and stories relationships were assumed, theres no backstory or reason for any of them. Nothing is explained, things just happen and they talk about it very quietly. Maybe that's how everyone really was in 1970. but I did laugh out loud a few times.

This joke sucks. It's not funny, yet people use it all the time and will continue to do so for eternity. It's possibilities are endless, which really chaps my ass.
