Music Shit / Re: HOW PUNK WERE YOU IN HIGH SCHOOL?

2007-2010. I was taping pictures of dogs in leather jackets all over my school. I sneaked into the rehearsal space on occasion to rehearse with my hardcore band. We only had two songs; one with the lyrics "men are animals, but women are insects" and one that was like "you who support democracy - we go to the daycare and hit your children". Listened to alot of Wipers and Times New Viking.

Dead Wretched is great. I never hear anyone bring them up around here.
Another amazing Strawdogs song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p_g3-V3XZbY I heard there is a new cd of stuff. I wonder how awful that is.

i found that Strawdogs record at a chairty shop about 15 years ago, mindless classic.i bought skrewdriver's anti social 5 years later from the same shop, both unplayed.i think Strawdogs are now a "patriotic" mod band.

Rob (they played also in Straw Dogs) and today in a Anglo-centric mod band called Concrete Gods.

now I want to hear a non-Anglo-centric mod band

They recorded an LP last weekend which will eventually be released on Dead Beat Records. Stoked to hear it. Also, if there are any other people from Stockholm here they're playing at Nalen on Friday!

New records I dug:  Smash Detox 7", Belgrado Lp(more post-punk sounding/members of Destino Final),  and Kromosom Lp.

I saw Belgrado open here for Social Circkle ... never one to truly appreciate Siouxie and the Banshees, I did warm up to these folks after a few beers and have to say, overall pretty good. Spanish crusties are by the way, the grottiest people on earth. I thought I saw a hump of dirt move itself, until it asked me for a cigarette and it occurred to me, he was part of the Belgrado entourage.

my band got offered to open for them, so bummed we couldn't make it.

that PREGNANCY SCARES demo rules by the way

some of you people's obsessions with bands you don't like is kind of pathetic.

i like 'em a lot too, i just thing a lot of the shit surrounding them is fucking hilarious. ICEAGE is the only thing that's equally related to nazism, paramore and fred perry polos.
