Three new releases that took FOREVER to release:

Local Cross Records #6: COLA FREAKS - Farvel b/w Car Crash 7"
We released this new single for the boys recent USA tour. Farvel hits the sweet spot between the bands earlier playfulness and more recent intensity. Jumpy music for twitchy people. The b-side is a cover of the Avengers "Car Crash", a long time staple of the Cola Freaks live set. 600 pressed.

Leather Bar Records #6: BURNING ITCH - Me Myself and I one-sided 7"
One side, one song, one man. Knoxville's Ian Lawrence plays with himself on this burned out loser anthem. Burning Itch brings to mind those great early punk bands who didn't have those great early punk bands to base their sound on, and made it all up on their own. 300 pressed.

Leather Bar Records #7: TELECOMMANDE - one sided 7"
Two French mopo's rocking out with a drum machine, tough guitars and synthesizers. If the Ramones had been French... 300 pressed.

New Releases For Sale/Distro Updates / Leather Bar hype
« on: February 03, 2011, 02:27:26 PM »
I just got copies of some great stuff from Reel Time Records out of Rochester.
The Rotcore local compilation cassette+zine is an amazing piece of work.
The Narcs 7" is killer too. Reminds me of the FU's FU82 "mini lp", kind of.
And the Brain Car "Rock n Roll Bologna" 7" lives up to the hype. Please buy them up quickly because they come with an actual piece of bologna and are taking up valuable beer space in my 'fridge.

Burning Itch and Telecommande 7"s are maybe a month away from release.

WHITE LOAD - My Wall 7"
It's out now on Ken Rock, fuck. He says, "For me this is the perfect KBD styled Hardcore is wounderful and fast and DIY feeling in to the plastic, i LOVE this stuff so do you." Someone teach that communist some proper English.
Three songs, 300 copies. We have a small amount available for mail order here in the US, and still have copies of the first 7" as well. Here's what Richie thought of that one:
"White Load finally get a vinyl release out after a few tapes/demos and a false start on a previous 7" that never materialized. This one-sided EP gushes forth with three newer cuts (meaning I dont remember them from previous tapes), "Talk" is yammering hardcore, "No Exit" sounds a bit darker and punker, and "Chemicals" is the paint-peeler. Savage vokills on this one. Falls somehwere in between the Fashionable Idiots roster and maybe Cult Ritual without the forced weirdness."

$5 ppd to: leatherbar <AT> gmail <DOT> com
$8 for both records
Fan Club people, yes, we have a special version for you.

Disaster Prone b/w 36th
Finally complete. This the Bill Bondsmen's 7th release, but their first proper SINGLE. Everything they have done has been a step above what came before it, and this continues the trend. The single format really puts their songwriting ability on display in a way it never has been before. They have taken their tough-as-Detroit midwest hardcore roots (see the countless Negative Approach and Die Kreuzen comparisons in reviews of past releases) and blown them up. This is bigger, meaner, and better than any early 80's clone bands or too hip jerk off noise nerds. HARD core.

Still available:
A/V Murder- Tourettes 7"
Cola Freaks - Dodt Batteri 7"

A/V Murder - Tourrettes b/w Fight Like a Man
This Chicago band features that one guy who was in the Tyrades and Baseball Furies, and also one of those Cococoma guys. This their second 7", debut EP was on Dusty Medical. Two songs here, terse, jagged punk rock. Words like, "sharp," "angular," and "throat," will probably be appearing in some reviews. The a-side could almost be a lost Tyrades track, tougher though. The b-side starts the same but things get reckless and noisy by the end. I'm really excited to be putting this record out, it's a fucking killer. Sample up at localcross.com

and while we're doing that,
Cola Freaks - Dodt Batteri b/w Nej! repress
Their third 7", the first pressing sold out pretty quickly. We pressed a small amount for their US tour last year, and that too was gone quickly (before the tour was even over.) Now it's back again. I suppose I'm biased, but I think this is their best output so far. If you didn't get it before, get it now! If you're the nerdy type and need all variants, different color labels on this one. If you're in Europe go check out Jay Reatard while he's there, his new band is Anders and Jacob of the Cola Freaks!

one more before we go,
White Load - one sided 7"
Still have copies of this quick piece of shit! Seriously, though, it's a real punk burner. Three songs played HARD and fast. Here's a review:
"Some killer hardcore here from Providence, Rhode Island of all places. While a lot of recent noisy bands are exploring more mid-paced and slower tempos in an effort to sound more fucked, White Load take the warped guitar stylings of bands like Sex Vid and Cult Ritual and apply it to a more manic template... think Gang Green circa This Is Boston, Not LA. Seriously, this thing is just fucking out of control, but never veers off into boring nonsense... a fucking scorcher right here, and hella limited I'm sure." - Sorry State Records
there's a review here on termbo too, in the current reviews part b.

You can check that one out at myspace.com/leatherbarrecords

USA: One 7" = $5.50 / Two 7" = $10 / Three 7" = $13
(If you want the White Load 7" subtract 50 cents, it's cheap!)

Out next: Bill Bondsmen 7"

LEATHER BAR RECORDS:
White Load, with nothing but four strings (on a six string guitar), a singer chosen for his personality, and a naked drummer, has ruined many shows, from their hometown of Providence, Rhode Island to the Horriblefest in Cleveland, Ohio. After two years of this shit, that live disaster has gone into a studio and recorded a goddamn mess of a record.
This pathetically one-sided 7" has three shit jams from the same session that produced their track on the recent compilation from Criminal IQ. The band has aimed (low) for something between "This is Boston, Not LA" and "Killed By Death volume 7," or maybe between GG Allin and the Germs, or Deep Wound and Solger, or... well, anyway, they failed fucking miserably on all accounts. What they do manage to do, according to Terminal Boredom, is, "Scuzzcore, American-style, with hard-edged guitar and broken glass vocals."
You can listen and figure out what that means for yourself HERE.

300 pressed, get killed and tell your friends.
Single copy is $5 ppd, paypal to leatherbar AT gmail.com
