Cold Cave "Etsel and Ruby" 12"
http://www.insound.com/Cold_Cave_Love_Comes_Close__PRE-ORDER_12%26quot%3B/productmain/p/INS59068"Etsel and Ruby" is Cold Cave's first release on What's Your Rupture?. The 12" single features three new Cold Cave tracks including "Love Comes Close", "Concrete Crushes" and "Heaven Was Full". This is scuzzy, dissonant, retro-futurist pop at its best. Insightful and often hyperbolic lyrics about love, loss and brass knuckles compliment and expand our understanding of Cold Cave's aesthetic ("Look outside / World is exploding / Stay inside / So never knowing / Taking cover / With each other / Sleeping off a century of hope"). Both make-out music for Reagan babies and meditations on the limits of lust, "Etsel and Ruby" is a complete musical statement.
The 12" will be available online exclusively through Insound. Pre-order now!

DONT FORGET ABOUT Silver Shampoo's new 7". You can get your copy here.

http://www.imposemagazine.com/silver-shampoo-bubblegum-biker-rock/18274/A little background:
Jethro Skull" is the debut EP from Texas party-rockers/mini-bike gang Silver Shampoo. The A-side consists of the title track "Jethro Skull" and "Contest". It's What's Your Rupture's estimation that many a silent night in neighborhoods across America will be interrupted by the drunken slurring of "Jeeettthhhhrrrooooooo Skkkkkkuuuulllll". The B-side includes "Sonny Barger" and "Dogs". These are both subliminally sublime garage pop gems. "Sonny Barger" is a concise little masterpiece of bass slides, twinkling piano and "B-B-B-B-Barger" chants. "Dogs" is a sure favorite with pet lovers and simple math practitioners alike.
