Music Shit / Hello Africa

Looking for African music with that hard to pin point mysterious/hypnotic/"psychedelic" vibe, like Mulatu Astatke, Hailu Mergia and Tinariwen. The rest of the Ethiopiques  is ok, but nothing as good as the two already mentioned and high life?s too up beat for my taste.

Also looking for the same qualitites in jazz and funk (Heliocentrics), soundtracks (Fantastic Planet), space age music (Fantastica) and classical music (Rite of spring), but google mostly points me towards disappointment. Everybody got their own definitions, shitty taste, ugly faces etc. I thing there was ment to be a question or a potential starting point for a discussion when I started to write...

I dont remember where I heard it, but its in the private press, waxidermy type vein. Psychedelic/folk/loner, creepy and eeri. The best way to describe it is that the singer starts crying in the middle of the song and just keep going. 60s.

Looking for a nice comfy and pretty chair that's not Eames lounge chair - nor similar or a copy - but as good in it,s own right. And of course much cheaper. Any suggestions? Having a hard time coping that I will most certain never afford an Eames.

Contact to someone who,s good at making covers? No cartoons. Genre: powerpop. Not usually this clueless and out of ideas, but I got nothing.

The Plastic Land EP is one of my favorite records of all time and apparently there was another EP called 100 MPH (impossible to find) from the same recording session. There's a post from 2012 on The Tunnelrunners Facebook saying Detour Records would release a CD (meh) with all ten songs and someone from Swansea Punk would release "something".

Any of you know anything about this? Have asked the question om the band?s Facebook aswell. If these projects don't come through, some other re-issue label should make an LP happen. Please.

That cheesy farfisa, light bouncy production and super thin guitars really works like a charm.
