Music Shit / why tb is still good- they realize my band totally sucks ass

so yeah, i realize it's pretty self indulgent and tasteless to start a thread about your own band, but really it's more about TB than about the feelers, of which I am regretfully a member.
anyway, last year we put out a 7" on contaminated that got some good reviews in a few magazines and websites, including terminal boredom and, as always happens, some of the reviews actually had something to say (in one wierd way or another) and some sounded like they were trying to say the right thing so they could sound "with it" or whatever. thing is, i've always had a particular hatred for people that don't have any opinion but pretend to like things they either don't like or just don't understand just so they can sound hip- and my hatred increases a million fold when that person is actually reviewing records. in the last couple years i've noticed more than one zine that, in my opinion, went down in flames cause their writers went from decent reviewers to hipper-than-thou douche bags who were more interested in following trends and being tastemakers than actually reviewing records. totally gay.
so last year, we got some good reviews, which i was happy about cause it was my favorite thing we've put out so far. then this year, we put out two on very short notice for a tour that we had very little time to prepare for and yeah, we pretty muych rushed it out the door. not that we didn't care how good the songs were, but like any group of half-witted, sometimes jobless, alcoholic retards we found ourselves at the last minute having to choose from a group of songs we weren't totally sure about. we didn't think either record was bad, i just don't think we felt done with half the songs. so we tried to make two records that, to us, made a little sense.
then when we sent them out, and i listened to them over and over again cause i'm obsessed with myself, i came to the conclusion that the p-trash one was probably the worst record ever and that anyone who said they totally loved it either ought to have a lengthy history of giving positive reviews to questionable music (like our jew guitar player who likes some of the worst music in history), or they're just fakers. not that you're a faker if you like it, but if you give the record anything like the review you gave our contaminated 7", you're probably a faker (or a jew guitar player type).
so this time around, i haven't really seen a lot of reviews, but thankfully TB came through with exactly what i thought about the album- it's not horrible, but it ain't that good. it sounds rushed and we probably could have written better songs if we were honest with ourselves and just waited til after tour.
so anyway, i just thought that was worth noting. i know it's a wierd post, even a littlie like a blow job of a post, but TB is one of the few things I read still cause they aren't just into one kind of music and, more importantly, they don't just go around blowing "bands of the moment" like a lot of people and a lot of zines.
okay, sorry about the long post. just wondering if anyone agrees with me. also, i'm on the 2nd day of the worst hangover i've ever had, so give me a break.
