New Releases For Sale/Distro Updates / Re: Mick Trouble 7"EP
« on: December 18, 2017, 09:53:08 AM »
A load of these have gone to Norman Records. I assume they're floating across the Atlantic as I speak/type. Unreleased Stiff Records LP due next year. Watch out for the THE WORLD NEEDS MORE TROUBLE sticker campaign coming to your neighbourhood!

Been checking my neighbourhood for trouble for ages - none to be found. The prospect of an LP by Mr. Trouble coming in 2018 will keep me going. If only all tribute acts could be this great.

Didn't someone here say they have the Beeley LP? I'd be willing to pay $1K for a crisp copy. Please consider, Greg

have had an empty Paniks "wanna kill my mom" sleeve ever since Gulcher cleared the archive. Is anybody sitting on a spare 7" to fill it? Or interested in the sleeve? Not much fun flipping past empty sleeves in the boxes...

Used Records For Sale/Auctions/Wantlists / Re: WANT LISTS
« on: January 01, 2015, 03:19:02 PM »
How hard will it be for me to track down an ABLE edition of the Numbers "Sunset Strip" at whatever the going rate is? I'm thinking of buying no records until I save up for this.

B/W While the grip and flip value obviously makes this scenario dumb, in a manner of speaking, you couldn't pay me to accept the atrocity that is the Riptides reissue of this record. Every time I look at my 1977 reissue it makes me feel like less of a man.

Have both the Riptides and Numbers on Able and might consider parting with the Numbers (EX+), i.e. in exchange for an original Fun Things (yes, I'd add some cash).

Just found this when sorting boxes: "Tapezine #3" cassette-compilation feat. Instant Automatons / Chemical Romance / T-Shirt Ian / The 012 / The Hamsters / Brainless Radio (feat. Mark Perry's then new band, it says in the liners)/ Bendle / Boffo. The back says: "copied, distributed + grooved over by F.O. Reckords" which of course refers to Fuck Off Records. So you know this is just one other puzzle of the London DIY scene around Door & the Windows, Deleted Records, Street Level studio (where some of these were recorded) etc.pp. I love that scene but just dont collect tapes, so if anybody feels like needing it and wants to make an offer (either $$ or a swap for some good shit), I'll gladly listen. Greg

Used Records For Sale/Auctions/Wantlists / Re: Sleeves/vinyl needed
« on: July 22, 2014, 12:00:18 PM »
Insert needed for Verlaines "Death And The Maiden".  Photocopy/scan/whatever totally cool by me.

It's a 7" inner-sleeve, not an insert. Appears to be quite scarce.

wasnt there a thread for record-less sleeves & vice versa? anyhow, just found NM-sleeves to these while browsing unsorted boxes:

PANICS: wanna kill my mom
GIZMOS: amerika first

Anybody here able to match these with the appropriate vinyl? Not sure yet if I want to keep both or trade the sleeves away, so please PM in either case.

Music Shit / Re: Mark Alexander McIntyre "Grapes" LP
« on: March 12, 2014, 12:43:42 PM »
anybody heard the 1st LP (lim.ed. 100 apparently). does it compare to "grapes" which I also like a LOT, as it's not trying so hard to sound like a lost "acid/lowner folk monster" (yawn), but has its own sound with his voice and the organ.

Used Records For Sale/Auctions/Wantlists / Victims insert
« on: February 23, 2014, 07:15:31 AM »
Not sure about how these things are handled over here, but can I ask if there's a kind soul willing to send me a scan of their insert to the Victims "tv addict" (excuse previous typo) 45? Mine's missing it. Eternal gratitude and possibly something like a scan swap available!

Used Records For Sale/Auctions/Wantlists / Re: NZ wants
« on: January 12, 2014, 01:40:51 PM »
Dont really know, but I figured "That Girl" is such a good power-popper that it cant be that bad.

The real mystery item for me is the Second Nose tape. Even their 7" is one forgotten footnote in the post-Shoes-this-High (note reference) DIY-kiwi-culture, but the tape appears to be completely lost...

Is that the missing insert for my Victims TV addict 45?

Don't know much about this, but it appears to be reasonably scarce:
