there may be a vinyl version of High Rise tapes in the future if demand permits but this remastered cs version is the first ever reproduction of the original 50 copy artwork...a big upgrade from the La Musica cs. Tokyo cs underground is part of the story too.

High Rise 2 comes next prob in Jan...working on some special direct order bonus goodies to go along with it. The mix was initially going to be a straight rip of the original LP but Nanjo decided to do a brand new 2017 mix. It's hard to say how it compares to the OG mix as I'm too close to it but Jimmy Johnson said it sounded thunderous so thats a good sign. Then comes Che Shizu A Journey...White Heaven Out is in pre-production as well. It's a lot of stuff. Gonna take a long time.

High Rise 2 is the original mix NOT the cd/squealer mix.
High Rise 1 and Gasenta are in conversations but we have this years releases to deal with first. We def hope to bring you those works in the future but it depends on the artists wishes.
Everything thus far is being pressed at RTI or Pallas. Black Editions boss Peter Kolovos is meticulous about his pressings. They are poured over. That being said, some of these are cassette recordings from practice spaces in the 1980s so High Rise isn't going to sound like Pet Sounds no matter where its cut. Regardless, expect clean cuts.
While I can't speak for certain about the specifics of any project not already in manufacturing, many PSF titles were created for the CD format. Depending on the wishes of the artist perhaps bonus tracks will be added to accommodate a 2xLP format.
Prices will not be cheap but we will do everything we can to keep list prices down...Watashi Dake will list for $26.99. But no Shadoks prices.

The label has actually been in existence since 2015. It was announced in 2016 because some Europeans were trying to distribute terrible Fushitsusha bootlegs with no approval or consideration from Haino. We felt it best to announce that this material was forthcoming legitimately to hopefully ward off further bootlegging of PSF material, not to tease or generate attention per se. Furthermore the recent passing of Ikuzeemi-San has created a groundswell of interest and attention to our work as well as create a lot of additional conversations with the artists involved. One result of which will be a forthcoming Black Editions 4LP version of the P.S.F compilation Ikuzeemi tribute 2cd put together by Ghost's Masaki Batoh.
Our first release is indeed Watashi Dake and is BE 000, a prequel if you will. It is pressed and will be announced for sale later this month. It will not have the additional CD tracks although those will be included in the download. It will be a single LP as the artist originally intended.
Shortly after will be
Tokyo Flashback 2xlp (Tests approved)
High Rise 2 (Tests Approved)
Che Shizu A Journey 2LP (Tests approved)
Fushitsusha 2 4LP (Cut by Rashad Becker)
All of that will be out before the end of the year barring un-for-seen circumstance.
Shizuka's- Heavenly Persona 2LP after that.
Some of these reissues will be exactly like the originals to every detail aside from remastering. Others will be slightly different (as the Gold variation of Watashi Dake) per the artists requests. Others will have entirely new artwork (Che Shizu's A Journey) also per the artists requests. All of the projects will feature new interviews and recently translated materials. It's a lot of work but we hope to provide a resource for the history and culture of P.S.F. and get it right. Lots more to come.

one of the reasons its taking so long is that all mastering is being done from original sources (mainly DAT's) and no corners are being cut in regards to artwork...some of the fonts had to be recreated by hand.

the new Mouthus on Ecstatic Peace is called Divisionals and is an all synth record, no drums, no gtrs. Its also fantastic.
