why yes they are. They are shooting a negative so that they can print from it. someone with great knowledge of printing can explain. If the image you send them is unclear, what is gonna come back will be unclear.

Well, it may be shot but most printers have switched to platesetters at this point (printing plates are output directly from digital file.. no film involved). But yeah camera-ready is a holdover from film, when plates were burned from negatives.

And I'd say 49/50 of the time shitty print jobs are solely the result of shitty customer files, especially stuff that's pixelated. Was your file 300 dpi at 100%?  Or did you only provide a printout?

I've been too broke to buy anything cool lately but I scored an OG Maestro Fuzz-Tone from the original owner a few months back for around a hundo. I love it and love that it's powered by one AA battery.

I just missed out on a cheap Univox EC-80. Boo.

it's definitely different than the singles in the way that the singles are club jammers and the alabums more for jammin on headphones on a walk. i'd say keep on keeping on, it's a great album, take a walk with it perhaps??

I'm warming up to it (gave it some listens after this thread reminded me.. ). I wasn't into the singles though.. definitely prefer the album.

I was really looking forward to the album but so far it's done nothing for me. I'm hoping this changes soon..

I remember that. I think NATO funded/commissioned one of their later albums.

Can't be true. I got it last year and I'm pretty positive I can still get it now. It's around.

Yeah, I know a few people who still manage to get it. It always seems to come from Hawaii.

Finally got ours today (from GoY). I didn't realize we cut it so close.. got #291 and 292/300.

I thought they were total amateurs but they removed the vinyl from the sleeves so that changes everything.
