-show up a little before it starts. if you're going to hit a crazy pile of cheap stuff it's likely going to be at the beginning (or it's some weird shit only you know about). if you're super serious, pay for a table (they're usually $20/30 here in phoenix) so you can get in before everyone else. if you're nuts, show up hours in advance and try to buy shit from people in the parking lot. you'll be "that guy" though.
-don't look too closely through anyone's shit for the first hour or so, unless you are finding good stuff. i just sorta scan through a few boxes to see if there's anything promising and move on.
-have you been to one before in ann arbor? do you know who the normal dealers are? knowing "oh that's the dude from whatever records" can be helpful, because you probably want to go after the weirdo dude who never sells stuff and priced it all way too cheap.
-haggle
