This year marks the 32nd time Pilam has thrown a little festival called Human BBQ. BBQ features about about a dozen bands from Philadelphia and beyond, offers a variety of meats and faux-meats, and lasts from noon until very very late at night.
Human Barbecue is like a flower. When you water it, it grows. When you shout at it, it gets sad. When you take off your clothes, well, it does too. It's an experience that is difficult to describe. Some past performers have gone on to fame and fortune; others have faded into oblivion or fallen through the floor into our basement. All in all, it's an unforgettable amount of fun.
