The typical vaporwave track is a wholly synthesised or heavily processed chunk of corporate mood music, bright and earnest or slow and sultry, often beautiful, either looped out of sync and beyond the point of functionality or standing alone, and sometimes with a smattering of miasma about it.

That single he made under the name Rabbi Joseph Gordan was alright. Teardrop Explodes always grated on me.

Her behavior is consistent with the kinds of shit I see "media" people pull all the time. According to her facebook she works for a big corporate marketing agency: http://www.razorfish.com/

She might have a case if there was actually a proven market for her shit, but there is none. Also:

Can I copyright the name of my band?
No. Names are not protected by copyright law. Some names may be protected under trademark law. Contact the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, 800-786-9199, for further information.

Straight from the copyright.gov website (http://www.copyright.gov/help/faq/faq-protect.html). Ain't it funny how the people who are most careerist in their approach to music these days always suck the hardest.

Some people deserve the ill-speak. No tears for this guy (just read the bile he spewed after Ted Kennedy croaked). He spent his entire racist, homophobic drunkard life trying to discredit good things through shit "journalism" and slander. Fuck him.

Many good ones, but this is the kicker:

He had a right to a fair trial, that is all.

He had a fair trial, and through that fair trial he was found guilty, was convicted and was sentenced to death.

Justice (that is all.)

Rick Perry, is that you?

At the end of his set he took a power saw and severed an electric guitar's strings one by one. So avant, man.

Another I forgot:

NON at Gilman: It was Boyd Rice's coming out as a nazi show. He stood on stage reading some master race/superman bullshit while three American Front members pounded on drums. I think it was supposed to be provocative but it was boring, so boring that I fell asleep during it. Me being an insomniac, that means really fucking boring. Really, Boyd, it is really hard to shock people when you can't keep them awake! To be fair, he had two tough acts to follow - Frank Moore, a cripple who was sexed by fat girls whole a band jammed, and then Caroliner who were pretty damn fantastic - them being one of the best I ever saw.

Oooh, I almost forgot about the non-event that was Boyd Rice back in '09. Every wannabe fascist in full industrial regalia with their fist in the air. "TOTAL WAR TOTAL WAR TOTAL WAR." Total snooze. He shared a bill with Cold Cave, Genesis P-Orridge, Prurient, and spoken word performers including the Xiu Xiu guy, Kid Congo Powers, and some guy who lived with the Mansons for a bit.

But the one that really made my asshole clench up was the super-group that formed for one-night only consisting of Lou Reed, The Virgin Prunes, U2, Courtney Love and Lady Gaga.  Yeah.  That happened.

PICTURES PLEASE!!!

i mean, i shouldn't complain, as it was quite a privilege to see all those names on one stage at once, but as a lou reed fan, it fucked with my emotions.  seeing metal machine trio made up for it.

October 3rd, 2009, Carnegie Hall, New York City

Bonus: ScarJo is on stage for some reason too.

Hahaha, I was at this show because a friend had free tickets and begged me to come. I literally fell asleep until John Zorn and Lou Reed's atonal squall came out of the ether. Lydia Lunch and Jim Foetus (!) were there too, singing a jazz number. Courtney Love covering Magazine. Mighty straaaange. Bono used about twenty adjectives to introduce Lady Gaga before she came out. "Electrifying...ingenius. ..invigorating...excoria ting...captivating." The entire show was so excrutiating that the 10 minutes of Zorn-Reed-Anderson noise seemed like a revelation. All the Bono sycophantic chicks had no fucking idea who they were. I remember most of the people in my (nearly empty) section walked out. Gavin Friday always seemed twattish, but his signing off on that clusterfuck makes me think he has zero respect for himself.

Worst show ever was legions of whiteboy ska bands, vegan homocore, and emo crap that I had to sit through during my high school years. That and a slew of barely memorable "experimental improv" sets at ABC No Rio.
