Music Shit / Re: 2011 HARDCORE PUNK

Man, I accidentally bought the OTHER Quest for Fire once, because it was rumored that there was an LP coming out by the real Quest for Fire.  The disappointment needle just jumped right through the red.  Aside from malt liquor, one of WI's finest exports.  Saw them live twice and, had I known there'd be a reunion, it would've been something to plan a weekend around.  Talent, crushing riffs, nothing generic.  That was such a bummer to hear it was an lp release show/last show.  Who does that to people?  Anyone who is curious or whatever, you can still hunt that beast down and it is a creature unto itself.

101 in Winnipeg earlier this week.  Fucking joke.

WHAT?!

We got 112 index on Tues. but the heat has, awesomely, passed up in here.  It was above 90 for a week straight, unprecedented, (as far as my hatred for the weather goes.)  I work outside and this was a crumby joke.

Thanks for the head's up. Impalers are one of the best Texas bands going, and I say this as a faded fan of M.G./H.S.  I will have this for distro and still, because I forgot them in a trunk, have the demo if anybody is looking.

Music Shit / Re: let's talk VAN HALEN

My mom loves Van Halen and is a classy lady.  All strata of society is infected by the good vibes this band can pull.  I like Running With the Devil a lot, but can't hang. Diamond Dave was the man, no doubt.  I saw Hagar pre-Chickenfoot late-90's when no one cared and wanted to cut my ears off and cut my eyes out.  Dude sucks.

Well, Lynyrd Skynyrd is more raging than either and their records are even cheaper.

Lynyrd Skynyrd > Butthole Surfers > Fleetwood Mac > Paintbox > John Melloncamp > The Men > Men Without Hats > Men at Work > Culo > Bruce Springsteen

Hard man. Hard man to please.  Good taste though.

I think first off, and it probably goes without saying, but "would". This is America, man, everyone gets a second chance.  However..., big deal breaker on at least half the combo here, Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome!, gross.  Just about everything else I could get over, but Bob Dylan and rampant occasional puking are big "no no"s on my datability index.

Liking Paintbox was a total con. That first listen was, no doubt, ragin', but after that there was a lot of "Meh's.", and one dusty record.

They're selling records together and you've been waiting for a refund for eight hours now, I assume by "took off" you mean, "went to bed".  You also just replied to yourself as if you were agreeing, that's mental.  Sour grapes, can it.

culu tape up for trade as well

Mind boggled.  "Don't get it, but bought in anyway."

We got nothing on the derby here? Does the Derby get love? I am enjoying this, aside from the triple tag team shitty choice of Nomar and that Football guy plus a douche as the commentators. This is a three ring circus. I do like that I can watch it free online and this whole thing is a commercial for the pleasant ways MLB supports their home cities and charity. I do not have beef with this.  %25 scabs, but Home Run Derby makes me feel like a kid again. Good stuff. Cano just hit one off the bat and it went far as shit. Make that two and 459 ft. Yow.

No Trend is just a black on white?  Anyone who can make shirts should be able to do that. It only requires one screen and about half an hour's actual work.

I'll be at the lake for just about every weekend until September, but the second week of that month and onward is pretty much a go. Hey man, there's nothing out there until the middle of Montana, you're going to need gas at some point.
