dunno, i've never had that, only the spanish chorizo, and that's tasty i can tell. that's a red sausage.
by the way, great concert you gave a couple of months ago in belgium, in brussel. playing inside that church had to be really nice. it was nice to watch, that's for sure.

They got the same shit in Mexico too.

When I was in Europe I thought that Turkish food had more in common with Mexican food than Greek. They serve alot of Chorizo over there in Turkish restaurants and they spice everything really heavily like Mexican food, and it's all made and served by brown people, just like Mexican food.

i think you are wrong. chorizo is spanish and it's made with pork meat and turkish are muslims, they cannot eat pig meat.
i don't live in spain now, so i may have the wrong impression, but in spain you can have a chorizo sandwich, tortilla de patata or jamon... i don't know, lots of different things, much better and tastier than kebab. but now kebab shops are quite popular also in spain. a few years back, it was popular just in centre europe, where turkish emigrated.

yes i plan to be there on friday.
some info would be nice though, like where in antwerpen is "le campine" and at what time is it starting... i asked los llamarada and they didn't know it themselves yet.

Caf? La Campine  in Antwerpen, corner of the Cadixstraat and "Kempisch-dok-Westkaai 38. This is in the nord side of the city also known as "t'eilandje", near the Bonaparte dok. I have no idea when the band starts. I plan to be there around 21:00 but things usually start rather late over here.

Tof h?, zo wat in het Engels tegen elkaar zitten lullen...

thanks for the info. i'll have time to have dinner first then...

ja, ik ben blij dat ze naar europe zijn gekomen, ik moest twee uren vorige zaterdag rijden, maar ik vewacht niet dat ze naar mijn huis komen spelen...

Non-Music Shit / Re: bank transfer in euros or western union??
« on: January 24, 2008, 07:36:38 AM »
same with western union. you have to pay a fixed amount of money per sending and then extra $ depending on how much are you sending. the fee amount might be bigger than the qty you're trying to send. i've tried it the other way around (send money from europe to the us) but i think it'd be the same the other way around. i'd do what justin suggests.

Our Paris is the 28th of February. I don't know details yet though. The festival is in Brussels and it's the first of March. Both shows feature both Pink Reason and Psychedelic Horseshit.

siamese bands.
do you know the name of the festival in brussels or the name of the venue?

Music Shit / Re: outsiders "CQ" LP
« on: December 12, 2007, 02:17:54 AM »
CQ has to have the dutch-est album cover of all time.  allmusic calls them "proto-hardcore."  i never realized the other guys names were frank beek and ronald splinter.  the songwriting credits list some dudes named busch and buzz too.  either those guys were 10 years ahead of the punk name fad, or the dutch are the fuckin goofiest people ever.

edit: does anybody know what all that fuckin talkin is on a lotta their shit?
ron splinter and wally tax were the songwriters, ron was the one in charge of the music. in cq they wanted to share the credits with the rest of the band and that's why in cq all of them are credited, but the songs were still written by tax and splinter. i'm not making this up, he told me that. you can still see him playing every now and then. he's got a new band now (the dam are called i think) and he uses to play in festivals if he's invited (he played with the lyres a couple of years ago and with the skidmarks) he rules.
there's a recording of a rehersal of the band playing with no public at paradiso, in amsterdam, and they play almost all cq. if you like cq and the cq sessions, you need to listen to that, it's amazing (yes, you'll be "confounded with great surprise or sudden wonder"). i guess you can find it in soulseek or somewhere like that.
