Henry Schuette ParkDEAR EDITOR:
This 67 acre park provides open air shelters, grills, walking trails, fitness course, picnic area, ski trails and fishing areas. The park is also home to the Community Built Playground. 17,000 sq feet features a handicapped accessible area that is full of towers, mazes, slides and swings for all ages. The playground has a unique theme that will educated(sic) children in our rich maritime history.
I just read the article about the bathroom at Schuette Park being set on fire. What kind of world are we living in?
Two weeks ago I took my kids to the park when my young son said he needed to use the restroom I waited outside the door like I usually do when he came out he asked me how he was supposed to wash his hands with "poop" in the sink.
I wasn't sure if he was serious so I walked into the bathroom to find that someone had indeed defecated in the sink.
What kind of people are so sick that they will subject children to these kinds of acts? Its bad enough we can't let our kids out of our sight in our own neighborhoods but then to deface a community built playground like they have.
What do our kids have to look forward to if they can't look forward to even going to a park? What is this world coming to?
